Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I just signed up for this home internet plan but I already have 4 free T-Mobile cell lines sitting unused. Are you telling me that I can get an international hot spot router and have the equivalent of the T-Mobile home internet? Which device are you using? What's the catch?
if you can get a 5g device that Tmobile don't have the imei in their database, the only catch is the bandwidth you consuming. Depends on your phone plan, streaming might get throttle / down scale to 720p (vpn can work around this), and if you pulling excessive amount of data, first speed will get throttle, and if it reach some abusive level, tmobile may terminate the line. Don't have a concrete number, but from what I gathered around the net, usually 3~400gb a month is still okay minus the speed throttle, people who got into trouble with their account were all approaching TB.

😩
At a T-Mobile store now…

Note: if you're a converted Sprint customer who has not been fully transitioned into the T-Mobile billing system, plan for a long-azz conversion, involving ALL your PII, hard credit pull, & providing this info to someone on the phone in Honduras.

Only if your spouse was gonna get a voice line also. The promo requires a paid voice line in the account.

The T-Mobile chat agent is telling me that there is no promo code required and that it will show up within 2 billing cycles.
That doesn't sound right based on what other people are saying in this thread.

You'd have to move your phone lines over too.

We were going to get two magenta max lines next Feb. Because of this deal, we may just switch to TMobile now. Are we eligible because my name will be in the account? right now the home internet account is under my name.

not very cheap. If you get throttled for using up too much data you can swap sim cards, kind of inconvenient but saves you shelling out another $300-$400 for a second unit -- ZTE MTU5001
Thanks. I am surprised you can just dump a voice sim in a data only unit. You would think the IMEI would trigger something. I could probably make it a Magenta Max line and it wouldn't get throttled Wink

Yes, I think that should work for you guys. You spouse needs to be the account holder. Switch now and don't forget to get the 20% insider discount.

Has to be something T-Mobile doesn't sell or support on their network. See my previous post

Yes, don't forget to also ask about $100 Mastercard promo to stack with this one
