Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I checked several months ago that the service was available on my address, Now I checked again there is no more.
Same. But service speeds have also taken a dive, so I think they remove areas that are over capacity.

After I talked with several agents on the phone, I finally got the $25 deal as SPRINT LEGACY CUSTOMER. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘
Do you mean your order was placed as 25/mo or it was 50/mo and in 1-2months the credits will apply?

I read somewhere that T-mobile Home Internet has less priority than MNVO's 5G. I tested Mint mobile 5G speed in my house, maximum is like 70mbps, so Home Internet would be slower than that. That's why I didn't switch from cable service at the time.

I am surprised you can just dump a voice sim in a data only unit. You would think the IMEI would trigger something.

Are you telling me that I can get an international hot spot router and have the equivalent of the T-Mobile home internet? Which device are you using? What's the catch?
โ€‹well let me tell you otherwise, I got an international (non-tmobile sold or supported) and it's working well; ZTE MU5001U -- you can google it, not a lot of people have that in the US I suppose since it's about $300-$400 sold out of Asia so it can be an expensive experiment. Except I took the experiment out of it since I have been using it for a while now, no issues. and great speed

edit: fixed model number

After reading the comments from people who don't have TMHI but "I've heard blah blah", I decided to give you a real review. I have T-Mobile Home Internet. It *never* drops. It does not buffer. If you have a good T-Mobile signal you're going to get fast, reliable internet. I live out in the country and I went from ATT's dsl at 6mbps (which was *always* buffering, always having problems, just a load of garbage) to 100 mbps (sometimes more, yesterday morning I got 206mpbs) with T-Mobile. I work from home and it has been a godsend. It runs on 5G, or 4G if your tower isn't up to speed with the upgrades yet. Seriously, especially if you live outside of a city or town and internet is hard to come by, get it. No fees ever, no data caps, no equipment costs, lovely strong wifi that reaches all over the house and my yard. I had been saving for Starlink if and when it ever came available (and still isn't). Not now. I'm a T-mobile customer and I will stay one.

When they migrated all the Sprint towers over and this became an "Ultra Capacity" area, I would see 150-200Mbps in my area maybe dropping down to 100Mbps during busy times. Right now I speed tested and I see 30Mbps down, 20Mbps up in the same spot. There was a point in time, around August? Where I could not load anything at all during early mornings and late evenings regardless of signal; things would time out completely, I couldn't even do a Google search, speedtests would time out altogether. I was about to cancel service completely.

At night (usually after 8PM or so), I see speeds restore to around 150-180Mbps.

And this is WITH priority, not deprioritized like home internet would be, so it would be speeds below this.

If they can't provide reliable service to people on regular prioritized plans, then adding more home internet depri. plans isn't going to help the problem, and it's going to end up a bad experience.

But it's a good deal still if your market/area has capacity to spare and you don't have this issue.

Super easy sign-up. Did it all over chat - took 12 minutes. $25 / month locked in rate...no sign up fees - only fee is if I don't return the unit when we cancel. No cancellation fees.

And confirmed the $100 mastercard promo.

Really great - we will see how the speed is, but I am hopeful. Easiest Tmobile deal ever!

I wonder if you can cancel your existing home internet account, then use the spouse's name to get this offer
I have 2 paid Magenta 1.0 Lines and 5 free lines (all on the insider 20% discount) and I am an existing $50 Home Internet customer. When I saw the $25 Home Internet promo, of course I wanted in.

After conversations with multiple T-Mobile reps and being on hold several times while reps checked with managers, I was told that in order to get the $25 Home Internet, I would need to add a second home internet device for $25 and keep both the $50 and $25 home internet for 90 days.....I would then be able to drop the $50 Home Internet.

Given that I was told that this new $25 Home Internet service qualifies for the $100 gift card promo, I am OK with paying for both devices for 90 days.

Hope it works out as planned.

3rd CSR is the charm. Got promo applied without additional lines, and confirmed the following:

You: nice! I still get 15 days test drive, 100 GC, and Tmo pays for ETF with my current ISP provider right?

Rudy: Correct
Free upgrade to 2 day shipping as well. Ended with $1 credit card hold OTD.
Now let's see if Tmo home internet is serviceable.

P.S. I'm on Simple Choice NA plan.
