Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Strange...Just checked my account and found this following information:

New line [***] was added to your account on 12/09/2022 at 11:58 PM . This line is on the T-Mobile Home Internet TE plan for $55.0 per month plus taxes and fees. This plan includes Unlimited Included Data, Unlimited Messages, Unlimited Included Data, Unlimited Messages.

Does it mean I will receive $30 credit per month to make it $25 per month plus taxes and fees for the internet??

What does T-Mobile Home Internet TE plan mean?

TE stands do taxes and fees extra, for the plans that the taxes and fees are included the have a TI instead which stands for Taxes and Fees included.

To check if the promo was applied you have to wait for the line to show up on your account overview. Take a look at the first page of this thread and read the wiki, it explains how to check and has screenshots.

Something like this, depending on how long you need it to run. I'm guessing close to an hour on this, but someone would have to run the charts to double check.

Received the gateway unit. Easy setup. Tried every room in the house. West ward side is best for me but 'only' getting 270-330 mbps when tested on fast.com on wireless connection. Will test it when hardwired too. But so far, I'm getting double my cable internet speeds for half the price. More days of testing are ahead but this looks very promising to drop cable internet.

Gateway just arrived. Setup took 15 minutes and another 15 to hook up to my mesh router and finding best location.
Download/upload is 250 mb/68.
By way of comparison what speeds do you get on your T-mobile phone at the same location? Is it comparable or is the home internet service providing better speeds?

Just before 7PM, speed tests on phone range from 380-570 mbps. I suspect further into the even, the speeds increase. This is on iphone 13 pro max, 2 bars, esim. Gateway unit indicates 4 bars.

Using VPN on the streaming service and computer...no problems. Nice feature is WiFi6 on the gateway is usable and works well.
