Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Thanks for this offer, Not sure how I almost missed out on this one.
For at-least me. If Comcast goes down, I'll use it as a backup/fallback on the firewall...

But if it works out great, I may even consider dropping Comcast all together in the future.

I had to call to get "$25 of 2022 HINT P22" as it did not get applied automatically. Rep says that it will take 72 hours for it to show up.

I'm in the same shoes. I chatted with customer service. You need at least Magenta plan which is $60 for individual line (with autopay). So it's not really "slick" for me. For my internet and cell phone I'm paying less than $60. And this "deal" will cost me $85 and up. Check Verizon. They are offering their new customer $30 a month with autopay for 300MB internet.
There is also a $20 talk+text plan that you can switch to after your first month. The store/kiosk won't be able to put you on that right away but Customer Care and T-Force can switch the plan.

I just signed up for this via chat as a non T-Mobile customer

Prep: If you have any credit report freeze, get them all temporarily lifted (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) so they can complete the sign up process.

The T-Mobile chat agent that assisted me was not aware of this promo. I had to provide them the CNet URL on the first page. I asked the agent what's the cheapest voice plan that qualifies for this promo. I will not be porting my existing mobile number.

All in all, I got "Unlimited Talk & Text Only" for $20/month and the "T-Mobile Home Internet" currently shows $55 on the bill summary ($0.00 due today) that the agent provided, but she assured me it will be $25/month on the final bill.

They're sending me the "ARC KVD21 GATEWAY BLK CPO [t-mobile.com]".
Someone posted the other day that they were able to get this deal with only their $5 Smart Watch plan. No voice line service. Good luck!

Should I expect the same up and down speeds I measure with my S22 Ultra phone at my home location? Or would this service b e different, I.E. faster or slower?
TIA!

I was told to expect between 30-180 dl

I'm switching from 1gig optimum but it's never actually 1gig so if tmo is even close to decent enough then it's worth cutting my monthly bill in more than half

Can you just sign up for this or do you have to have cell service with T Mobile? or is the High speed internet "Line" enough to qualify?

You didn't read the first(SD Staff) post of this thread? It has multiple FAQ questions which is exactly what you asked.

Is everyone's gateway used? Or did you all get new ones? My order also stated "cpo" next to the router.
My Arcadyan KVD21 gateway is brand-new & sealed in the box.

I'm not seeing any Q&A remotely addressing this question now maybe I overlooked it but I can't find it otherwise I certainly would not have posted the question.

Didn't mention b4, but do have other magenta phone cell plans on the same account, those are still there. The only thing cancelled was the previous HSI line. Can't see why just cancelling one HSI line cancellation would kill the promo. I guess we'll see. If it does, as said b4, I will be calling and raising hell as it would be illogical to kill the promo for a magenta max customer with 2 lines on the account that simply substituted a HSI line for another.
If they cancel the promo for canceling your first HSI line too quickly, please post the outcome. I have a 2nd device being delivered soon that will have the promo attached and if I don't have to pay $50 for the 1st unit for the next 90 days, that would be great news.

WiFi speed depends on a lot of variables...antenna, band broadcast and band received, software and hardware (receiving unit), distance from WiFi radio, internet load at the transmission tower, the location and orientation of the TMO unit... The best speed is the speed that you get from the LAN connection at the TMO unit.
