Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

You basically have 3 options, of which only one I'm sure will 100% work.

1) Keep calling until you get a Rep that is willing to apply the promo on your account. Note that this is a risky one, as even if the Rep forces the promo for your account it might later fall off automatically. The billing system validates the promos every month, if the rep doesn't apply the promo correctly it will be removed automatically eventually by the billing system when it fails the promo requirements validation.

2) This is what some people have been told by some T-Mobile reps and is also based on what others have done with previous promos that have the 90 days term on it. Basically what you do is you add a 2nd Home Internet line and service for which the $25 promo will apply. You will have to keep both lines, the old one at $50 and the new one at $25 for 90 days. After 90 days you ask for the old line to be cancelled and keep the new one at $25. The promo I think says you can't make any changes for 12 months to your account but what the reps and others are saying based on previous experiences is that the 12 months portion of the terms is only applicable to voice lines. Since you are not making any changes to the voice lines and just removed a data/home internet line the promo will stick. Again, this is very very YMMV and again you might end up paying $75 for 90 days and still not getting the promo if this fails.

3) This is the one that will work 100% for sure but it also might have some additional costs. Is basically opening a new account under a relative's or significant other name. If you have a friend that has T-Mobile check if he is Ok getting this deal for you and you paying him the $25. Or open a new account under your spouse's name, this will require a $20 voice line and the $25 internet line. Supposedly you can use a $5 Smartwatch line for this promo too, making it $25+$5 but I have to see yet anyone confirming that works.
Very good points.
I've been using T-Mobile home wifi for 6 months and it works great for me. I wanted to get this $25 offer and they didn't honor it for existing customers.
I had my brother open a T-Mobile account and I also ported my at&t line to his new account with insider 20% code. Now when I Try to add the Wi-Fi device on his new account it says home wifi Is unavailable in the area. Tired entering my neighbor address and same result. Looks like they are now limiting the number of devices in some zip codes.
Is there a way they can transfer my existing device to his account and get $25 price? Or any other ideas please ?

Go to a store, some Reps are friendly and knowledgeable enough that they might offer to override the address limitation. They will sign you up even though it says the address is full. Again, this is hit and miss as it depends on the Rep being willing to overide it.

Did I miss this deal? Can I still sign up?
Go to the wiki page of this thread, might have to go to the first page. In the wiki there are multiple T-Mobile links that should have the promo details. If it is gone you won't see the promo there any more. I just checked and I still see it there.

You should be able to if it's still available in your area. I just signed up today through chat (Chicago suburbs). If I go here, it shows the limited time offer for me:

I signed for this deal a couple of weeks ago. I used my parents address and shows coverage but not my house. Did some experiments around. At my parents address I get consistent 5G at 250-300 mbps. At my house it connects to LTE 4G with only 10 mbps. So for those who are tying to set it up in a address that has no service. Just refrain from getting it
What phone do you have? If it is a recent T-Mobile phone, does it show 5G UC when connected to the tower at your house? Does it show 5G UC at your parent's house?

What is the number for the executive team? Is it the migrations team phone number? Has anyone with the grandfathered $25 a line a month after autopay had success? How do we know if we are migrated into tmobile? I thought that was all automatic?

Has any sucker like me who has the $50 plan managed to get the new price? I'm just gonna cancel if not and go back to cable for a year, see where it goes.

Can we order for an address where available and use at an address where it says "not yet available?"
Probably, as it worked doing that here.

What I did first was use the other address where it was available and started to place order. This put the other address in the system as mine as well (I think). Canceled at the final step. Later, the rep automatically saw that other address I had tried in the system, and even though I explained I only tested that "friends address", the rep told me he could used that address to sign up and still ship gateway to my real address. Service might be bad though. It would not affect billing, as they would still use real address. Rep also mentioned to later change service address to my real address, but it only shows my real address, so nothing to change.

The downside to this is that service in your real address might be limited or bad, perhaps due to too many users already. At least you get couple weeks to test yourself, and can cancel if it is not good. Am getting up to 500 speeds here in an area that was not yet available, am keeping gateway, and cancelled Frontier FIOS.

No luck:

Tmo's Chat:

"You would have to use the internet at the address you it is available at.

So if it's not quite yet available at your home then you couldn't get the unlimited home internet."

I was about to signup for this to have as a backup to my current provider until I did a little searching and found t-mobile's coverage map. The link that was provided in deal was going to let me signup for 5G internet and said service was available but when you go by this map.

https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage...V42AG30718

I'm clearly only in 4G territory. I was already pretty sure I was but when I was allowed to signup for 5G internet made me curious if maybe they had upgraded towers and I wasn't aware.

I signed up in Oct for 50/month. They tell me I can't get the promo. In addition, they never sent the $50 visa card, said it was declined a couple weeks later which is funny because the sales guy did it for me. I cancelled the internet line last week bc I still had my cable.
