Make sure you are signing up for Home Internet Unlimited and NOT Home Internet Lite. Home Internet Lite does not get the promo.
From CNET article: "Those interested in T-Mobile Home Internet can enter their address at the carrier's website to see if it is available in your area. If you have multiple lines on your account, such as a family plan where not everyone still lives together, the carrier confirms to CNET that you could activate multiple T-Mobile Home Internet lines at the discounted $25 promo rate, so long as the addresses are eligible for the Home Internet service."

After earlier telling CNET that multiple lines on an account could sign up for the offer -- such as a family plan where not everyone still lives together -- the carrier said on Wednesday that the deal will be limited to one Home Internet line per account.

Tried to order online, it still says $50 after $5 autopay. Why it is not showing $25?
#############################################################################################################################
Per T-mobile Customer service it will not show the $25 dollar nor the promo if you order online but as long as you order during the promotion period it will automatically get added to your account. User dishguy confirmed that indeed it worked, I included his post below for reference . Alternatively you can call, chat, go to a store, or reach out to T-Force on Twitter or Facebook to get them to place the order for you.
Good luck.

Not sure why this was removed but - FYI -
For those that care;
The modem/router that comes with home internet service has
a built-in GPS receiver and antenna, and sends your GPS location back to T-Mo at regular intervals and presumably they can request it anytime.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I use LAN cable for a device that requires maximum speed and stability. Other WiFi devices are connected via the 2.4GHz band. No need to broadcast the 5GHz band.
I got my mom and sister new routers for Christmas and set up my sister's already. She was using xfintity's router and has buffering every now and then. Doesn't help the family room is outside the exterior wall of the house. SO I set up the kitchen and family room tv to have priority.
She was using an extender in the kitchen wirelessly from the gateway upstairs. So of course the tv's would get a crap signal.
My next step is to move the gateway into the basement and run Ethernet up to her basement entrance and place the router up by the ceiling. It's about dead center in the house and nothing would be over 20-25ft away at any point in the house.
Got them the TP-Link AX21 wifi6 router. At the tv's, at least from my phone, I was getting over 300mb/s on the 5ghz band with her 400mb xfinity service.
So if you have the tmo router, place it in the highest, best place in the house where you can drop an Ethernet cable down to a more central location in the house to put a wireless router. Treat it like a cable modem that's placement dependent. Or hack it, run mimo antennas outside. If you already have an outdoor TV antenna, mount the mimo antennas on the same mast and run the wire with your coax into the house. If it's in the basement then, drill a hole in the basement ceiling up into a closet or run it to the ceiling of the basement entrance and pop the wifi router there.
So far the service has been pretty stable.
Here's my comments so far:
- Speeds are ranging around 250down 15 up.
- Router is VERY locked down, the only thing that can be changed is the wifi properties (SSID, 2.4|5ghz, security method) No way to disable the radios or specify specific channels, you can not broadcast a SSID but you'll effectively lock yourself out of the router, requiring a hard reset.
- Cannot configure port forwarding or DMZ (if you use another router you're forced using double nat, exposing anything directly to the internet would require configuring VPN on your other router)
- Only configurable via Mobile Phone App (what little there is to configure)
The service itself has been pretty reliable though with no drops or connectivity problems.
Assuming I can get my issues with comcast resolved, for $25/Mo I'll likely keep this around as a failover/backup internet connection (when there's an outage or I go over my data cap).
I'm also considering modding the unit so that I can add an external antenna mounted on the side of my house pointed towards a cell tower. That's roughly $300 though for the antenna + cables

The router was initially sent to a different family member who's on the same family plan but located on the other side of the country. It was delivered without a signature (was told it would require one) and was left outside in the freezing cold. After it was dropped off and returned at the nearest t-mobile store still sealed and boxed up, an e-mail receipt acknowledgment was received the same day.
Today I received another automated t-mobile e-mail saying that the shipment received was damaged and that it would be sent back to the original shipped address. T-mobile rep I spoke with after said there is nothing in their records that shows anything about any damages on their end just that it was returned successfully.....and on and on...
Pro tip: For anyone calling in to sign up for this deal, I strongly suggest you call during regular work hours to speak with a U.S based rep instead of the after hours rep that are located internationally who usually take over after hours. They messed up the order even though I went over the delivery address with them a thousand times. In retrospect, this whole mess would've been avoided if I'd done that and I'm relatively sure I would've received it here in Sunny Las Vegas intact well over a week ago.
I have a corporate discount on my account. Is there anyone with corporate discount has $25 discount showing up?
