Expensive these were around $50 last winter via Amazon on a previous slickdeal. Very poor reviews… never see anyone using these outside

How is 4 stars on Amazon good? Especially with shill reviews. If you actually read the reviews most say it's heavy and hard to use even on a few inches of snow.

It depends which part of country you are and how much snow you need to remove using this - I have to clean up my driveway and stairs for deck - it works great for me, it does most of the heavy lifting for me!! If someone has a very heavy snow then it might not be that helpful

I own the plug in version. It just throws the snow straight in front of you. It can't handle much so if it's heavy snow you go in layers. In other words, I don't use it

I have this. It's not bad if you know it's limitations. This can't be the only thing. I use it it for certain area. You aren't doing an entire driveway with this thing and if you try that will be the only time you attempt it.

Makes no sense to me to pay $100 to use what you say is a limited product on specialized areas. If I have to use a snowblower then for smaller areas I'm just going to use my shovel. Why would I pay $100 and use this? What is the cost-benefit here?

I didn't pay that much. I got it last year for for much cheaper and I am knee deep in Joe stuff so the battery didn't hurt.

I should add I also live in Colorado Springs where the snow is dust. I wouldn't use this in Ohio where I am from.

I don't get the comments, I got this last year for $50 and it was amazing. Love telling people about it, it's that good. Used it for the entire driveway several times during the winter season here in the Midwest last year.

I own this, and this is not a junk by any means. Is it heavier than a regular shovel? Of course. You'd be dumb to expect a motorized shovel to weigh similar. And no, it's not too heavy. But you are also supposed to sort of push it through the snow while the motor does the work for you, so I'm not sure how is that a big complaint. However, the big drawback for me is that it just shoots straight and pretty far and you cannot adjust the direction or the force with which it shoots out the snow. My main cleaning area is the sidewalk but if I use it for that it shoots all the snow to my neighbors sidewalk smh. So I use it sometimes because it does the job much quicker but that's only possible if there isn't a car park on road and I can angle it a little. But for what it is it does a good job on upto 3-4 inches of snow. Beyond that it will probably struggle.
