I was a huge proponent of this service at one time. The coverage is excellent and the price is low. However, their customer service is so poor that I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. I spent at least 8 hours on the phone with them when I tried to simply move a line to another account. Instead of transferring, they disconnected the line and I lost access to it. You have been warned.

Xfinity customer support is bad, I have not received the multi product discount. Not yet received the $100 gift card. Have been following up for last two months multiple calls.

I saw the same issue so I called Xfinity Mobile customer service and had them place my order. They text you a link to review and confirm the order before they can submit. That page showed $200 prepaid card attached to my order. So I guess the only thing I may have lost is the $5 cashback from SlickDeals!

I used paid Tello mobile sim for $5 to port numbers. The good thing about Tello is if you have multiple numbers to port you can use one sim to port all your number. Last time I ported 5+ numbers on a single sim which I bought for $5.
Can you please elaborate how does it work? TIA.

So we're getting these prepaid visa cards.

If I don't plan to spend it on anything soon, can I somehow protect it? it'll just be laying on my desk waiting for potentially someone else (attacker/hacker) to be depleted. I logged into the acc.management and there is no way to "lock it"...

Any other options? Virtual credit card?

Okay. Get the Tello Sim card with their cheapest plan available. Once you get the sim, go to the dashboard and click on port in number. Enter the number you want to port in. Once your number is ported to Tello, you can again go to dashboard and do the port in process again with the new number. You can do this process as many times you want. Tello will just overwrite the new number with the old one.

Just did this but with eSIM on an active Xfinity Pixel. Ported an XM number out to Tello onto the inactive eSIM on an XM phone. Port process just took a few minutes and XM account already shows the line gone.

Tello had $5 plans - 15% coupon + $10 referral credit to use for later + 41% CB

First time porting out of XM, using Tello, using eSIM, etc. Spent a little time looking into how each one works...and it seems everything worked out with no delays.

Online status showed $1400 for 7 BYO devices shipped on 3/16, and I received the card today, but surprisingly the balance is only $600. Anyone had similar experiences?

I think people in the past mentioned that they can't put more than $1000 on each card -- you might get another card in a few days

Wait a week then contact their incentive dept if it doesn't show

Thanks. But doing this, will mean there is only one number and all other numbers are LOST?

So for example 5 Xfinity lines:
Open a Tello Line - Port Xfinity Line 1.
Then Port again - Xfinity Line 2, Xfinity line 3 etc
But in the end you will only have the LAST line - Xfinity line 5 in Tello? All the others are lost?

Do we need to get a Tello Family plan? Thanks.

I'm guessing you can do this with only 1 Xfinity line? If you have more than one Line and you want to port to Tello, won't it overwrite the previous numbers? Thanks.

Yes. I would suggest port out numbers instead of canceling the service.
Just to understand, porting out means i no more need to maintain or pay for xfinity plans and service?

Yeah. Porting to Tello like described above means you lose all the phone numbers except the last one you port. That's generally what people want to do in the context of this thread/promo.

Not sure what the cheapest option is if you want to keep all the numbers...and that would also depend on usage/activity.

But why are you guys porting out to tello when you can cancel service ? Assuming you already have some permanent plan that you are already on with some carrier and signing up with XM was just to get VGCs.

To be under the radar. If you call them and cancel the line they might put some notes under your account. Which might prevent you to get this deal in future.

I have done this deal 3 times now and acquired gift cards. You let go all the lines by porting to tello, then get new numbers from google voice when this deal comes back.
