But if a M.2 SATA SSD is what you're looking for this is a great price.

Compact, doesn't require cables, could be placed in an external enclosure for a fast portable drive.

From what I understand, it's the same SATA III standard with no wires and less space taken up thanks to the M.2 spec. Many older devices and even some newer budget laptops (such as the Walmart Gateways that always seem to hit FP) only support M.2 SATA drives.
That's exactly what I do. Works fine
I bought one of the Gateway laptops with the 11th gen i5 / 16GB RAM / 2 m2 SATA slots (on clearance for $100) and this would be perfect if I needed it. Tried NVME but it did not work.
There is a limited audience for sure, but it's out there.

Show evidence you own this ?
Or just plain lying 🤥
No. I buy lots of SSDs. These never hold up. Comparable priced/performance brand that seems to last is SP.
If you have an older functional laptop with 128gb m2 sata boot drive, can be great storage enhancement.

However...some drives can simply be cut down to size because the components of them don't actually go to the end of the card. It's just the plastic board to make the length they advertise. But definitely look up your model before destroying your drive.
