At $119, this is certainly a very tempting offer even though I really don't need another device. I use a 2014 Asus Win8 Transformer 2-in-1 when I need windows. For work, got a work laptop...from work. Also have the original Lenovo Duet Chromebook tablet for most web surfing, multimedia, e-book, etc. Thoughts people?

Might just pull the trigger...seems like everyone is doing it. Damn you SlickDeals!

Wish I had seen it when it was $179, but $229 is still reasonable if you need one now.

I'm pretty sure if you return the ebay laptop, you have to pay for the return shipping. Which is probably going to be more than $10.

You can't return an ebay laptop to a Best Buy B&M store. Your local store has no way of giving you an ebay refund.

Some people report that the screen looks good and some report that it looks bad with washed out colors and weak brightness. Mine looks washed out. I wonder if there is a panel lottery for the display on this thing. Other down sides - You have to turn off the keyboard lights at every boot. It took hours to do an update and network performance was poor while the update was downloading. I assume network performance will be terrible during each update. The bottom of the computer felt cheap and flexed when I was holding it with one hand on the corner, like everyone does when carrying around a laptop. When it wasn't updating, performance was great. I wanted to like the computer, but I will probably play with it for a few days and return it. The bad display on mine is a deal breaker.

It's probably less about panel lottery than it is about wildly different standards among buyers. My wife, whom I bought this for, doesn't know anything about IPS, nits, or anything like that. She gets 1080p vs. 720p but that's the extent of it. For people like her, assuming they use this thing exclusively out of direct sunlight, they'll pretty much never complain about the screen and it looks good compared to the 720p laptops they used in previous years. That's the reality.

Anyway, to me, the screen looks washed out, but at 250 nits (rated anyway) it's bright enough. This is more than totally fine for $120.

Anyone able to get the right usb type C to detect anything usb in window 10? I was only able to get it to charge the laptop. A but disappointing IMO because now I'm limited to only 2x usb on the right. Everything else except mic/headphone/speakers works after installing window 10 on it. Battery probably needs to be recalibrate. The unit turned off all of a sudden at 50% indicated in windows.

A roll of removable vinyl wrap from the craft section at Walmart is under $10.00 and available in lots of colors. I always do the lids on my laptops and just did the C425 in White. I also ordered a black keyboard skin which should make the keys more visible.
