Top tier ssd. Don't know why people all flock to Samsung, when this is the best of the best gen 3. SK Hynix literally make tons of the chips used for everything 😂

Can't remember looking at a mobo, gpu, ram, ssd, that didn't have SK Hynix somewhere…
Price is NOT $149.99 for everyone, it is listed as $208.24.
Lots of these "deals" listed lately are for prime members only, not for everyone.
I just used macrium reflect free to backup to a new M2 Ssd via USB adapter , did the swap and it booted fine

Thank you for pointing this out! I overlooked it the first time. Amazon does offer a free trial of Amazon Prime so that you can access the Prime Exclusive price without paying extra.

Lowest price as far as I know. It runs really cool if you're buying it for a laptop.

I recently got a new lenovo laptop. It has a 512GB SK Hynix PC711 PCIe Gen3x4 SSD. I'm looking for something comparable to it but in a 1TB size. Is the Gold equivalent to the PC711?

I'm looking at other m.2 ssd cards with read speeds of about 7000mbps vs this at 3500mbps. Both insanely faster than every other storage device I have. But do I need itv that extra 3500? 🤔 Will i notice any kind of difference in performance in gaming/photo editing, etc

No. Storage benchmarks will look great though.

none of you need all of this speed, you'd do just fine with a usb thumb drive that is OS bootable.
