My 2c on installing this shed, do not open the box till the day of installation. If you take pieces out the box and leave them outdoors, they may sag, bend, water can get inside during rains.

Have experience with Four of these sheds over the years. Anywhere from 8x10 to 12x20.

They are pretty sturdy. Not hurricane sturdy though. They are not plastic. Its reinforced PVC. Something that will last you 15-20 years easy. Sun doesnt decay the stuff.

You do need pretty sturdy and LEVEL foundation. Depending on what you wanna store. If the foundation is not level, peices will not fit easy (or even well enough to be sturdy).

Yes you can use 12x12 tiles. Imp part is to have the stuff underneath very level and something that wont sag or erode over time. So 2" of crushed concrete underneath the 12x12 will suffice.

I ordered a shed from Costco back in September and it still not here. So keep that in mind when ordering.

I was thinking about sticking this in my attached carport since I don't have a garage. The floor is concrete so hopefully that works and is level. It's frustrating to not have any "garage" storage even though I have some other sheds.

To those of you who own a Suncoast shed or similar...is there any way to seal them and reduce the number of bugs or other life forms that get inside (lizards, small snakes etc)? I live in FL and have a preserve behind my house. I stepped inside one at Costco this summer and could see light along many seams. Any thoughts?
To second vhalmrast, silicone caulking is the answer. Only use spray foam to fill crevaces inside the hollowed doors (assuming yours are hollowed out,) as spray foam will deteriorate much faster in the Florida sun. Look for an EXTERIOR silicone sealant at your local home improvement store.

I have had the 8 x 12 for 6 years. Had a concrete pad poured. It still is great after 6 Michigan winters and high winds off Lake Michigan.

This is laughable. A summertime "deal", maybe... but in no way a winter deal.
I'm in Michigan and I regularly forget that not everyone deals with winter. Meanwhile, I'm stocking the pantry and preparing for a hibernation of sorts haha

Been looking at one of these. When it says it needs a "sturdy foundation" what does that entail? Could I put this on some 12x12 concrete tiles? Or does it need a legit concrete poured foundation. Thanks

The #1 issue with resin sheds is not having a flat, level base. The lack of this will cause the sheds to shift over time, meaning doors will misalign and maybe the structure will fail. Worst case is that you won't even be able to get it assembled when panels don't line up properly.

For really small sheds with unitary (single piece) bases, I think a rudimentary base with pavers and some manner of leveling below them is sufficient. For larger units that are less rigid, that's when you need to be paying more attention to the flat and level-ness of the base. The last resin shed I purchased was an 8*8' I believe - pretty large - and rather than trying to level such a large area with pavers, I elected to build a plinth/base out of 2x6" and plywood. It's *far* easier to level with pavers in the corners, since the plinth itself is so rigid.

My order from yesterday just shipped. You may want to call Costco and see what's up.

Mine has a 2-part roof, and reviews mentioned they can leak, so I sealed the seam with HVAC Foil Duct Tape when I assembled it. I haven't had any water get in.

You can get a metal 4x6 shed from Amazon for $300. I built this one a month ago. The price drops to $300 very often. I really like it and it won't fade or warp like a plastic one will.

I used to have a larger version of that at a previous property left by the prior owner.
- the roof caved in one year with heavy snow. Didn't have that issue with the plastic shed
- the biggest pain in my ass were the doors - they tended to bind up.
- lacked a floor. I see the model you linked is the same. It has a stringer at the bottom front basically just to tie the 2 sides together. The floor is whatever you build it on.

Will this sit well on a paver patio? Do I need additional layer on top of level pavers?

Yup luckily I don't have to deal with snow or rust because I'm living in the southwest. I made a floor out of pavers for the shed, costing me around $80 so take that into consideration.

In the southwest these metal ones hold up a lot better than the plastic ones. Temps hit 100 here in the summer and the plastic ones warp out over time.

Ordered in Oct, shipped 4 business days later. They may have been unable to contact you for delivery scheduling. In any case, you should contact Costco about it.
