Why do they make hollow body electrics? They will never sound as good as acoustics unplugged.

Why do acoustics even have electronics?
They will never be as good as electric guitars when plugged in!

Some gave me one of these awhille back. Im disappointed because It's not good. I took it for a setup at guitar center and it's still not good (for me).
Was thinking about taking it to a professional luthier, but it's a waste. especially considering I have a bunch of other guitars lol.

One nice thing about this guitar is that it's much smaller than other acoustics. So it's good for someone who finds a full size acoustic to be unwieldy.

For performing live through a pa or amp for one. For recording for two. Many guitarists (think James Taylor) and engineers record a direct feed from the guitar and a microphone/s and combine and balance the two into one or more tracks.

The pickup seem to be a microphone so does that mean I can replace the strings with Nylon instead of steel and will still work?

Why does OP post mention 4.5% cashback when Adorama is not listed in the cashback stores section ?

The pickups are piezoelectric pickups, like the vast majority of acoustic guitar pickups. It'll "work" with nylon strings if you jerry-rig it, but that doesn't mean it's recommended. You'd have to get ball-end nylon strings, and if the G, B, and E strings aren't too thick for the nut slot (they very well may be), you'll still have to get the guitar set up by a professional if you're not comfortable with setting it up yourself. Nylon strings have a much lower tension, so the truss-rod would have to be adjusted to make it playable. Just get a classical guitar with a pickup, or add one to a classical guitar. I could see a reason to convert an old beat-up guitar with issues to nylon strings, but buying a new steel string guitar to convert to nylon seems pointless. They're very different instruments. Just for future reference, a steel string guitar can technically be converted to nylon, but you NEVER want to try to convert a classical guitar to steel string. This is because of the vastly different tensions exerted on the guitar by the different types of strings. Guitars are built with bracing in the right places for their respective strings.
Again, you could technically convert it to nylon, but you'll either need to allocate some time and work to getting it playing well or allocate an extra $100+ to pay someone to get it playing well.
