Sam's club has a 2 pack for 79.98. on sale till the 24th but usually out of stock pretty quick. Yeah these are slow but for that price not to bad for a picture frame and light controls.

Retail price is misleading. These are $49 at target, Best Buy, kohls etc
But not with the smart bulb 💡 ?

2023 is going to be the year of smart home automation. Google Home's may play a major role.
IMO Google Home is terrible as a home automation platform. I basically only use it for voice commands. I have also noticed that Google Assistant has gotten significantly worse since I started using it several years ago, which makes me think they aren't investing in improving it.

I wish Amazon Alexa didn't have so many ads, but I agree with others who say Google's devices as part of a smart home are definitely worse.

I'm a big Android user, so I wish it wasn't the case. For $39, I still might grab this as a photo frame and music player since I subscribe to Youtube Music, which Amazon doesn't support.

My order has been "delayed"… hopefully it won't get cancelled as Walmart already delivered the box of 4 extra WIZ lights I bought to go along with this 😵 💫

Alexa is never as good as Nest, in anything.

Woah. The new smart devices world really isn't for an old techie like me. All I wanted to do was to be able to display pictures from a NAS (a windows share) to Google Nest Hub. And apparently it doesn't support that. You MUST upload pictures to Google Photos and only then they can be displayed to this device. No option for displaying local photos from a NAS share.

They're excellent to use as photo frames and light audio playback

Someone mentioned in the other thread that they're usable as Cast screens - so you can send videos to it to watch like a small TV. That made me go from "do I need it" to instabuy. Set it up in the kitchen and it's awesome to use in that way for videos to pass the time or cooking tutorials, etc.
