They have. Prices are dependent on supply and demand. and demand is also influenced by speculation. A lot of people on SD were saying things like "hold the line, I expect the 6600 to be $150 with no rebate after RDNA3 launches". My theory is that many people sobered up and realized that $200 Rx 6600 gpus is a steal and the increased interest caused a momentary spike.
30 series are more expensive than they were in the summer.
With all the bad press and dead crypto mining... Scalpers getting destroyed and forced to sell below the purchase price. Not that $1300 for video card is just insane. Don't think I will be buying another NVIDIA.
The price for this 6600 is NOT bad but not what I would call a "slickdeal".
Kind of Stupid AMD promo of "two games" as dead Island 2 isn't out yet.. And requires linking STEAM to AMD rewards.

So far so good.
Need to upgrade the Ryzen 5 1600 next…
Ahh, good point. I thought it was the X. If anyone wants a non-X, I'll probably upgrade the non-X I just got last week and can sell mine for $200 shipped (just to break even, not looking to make money from it).

Since you seem to have the slot required and don't lose too much going from pcie 4.0 to pcie 3.0 with rx 6600, my main questions would be:
1) would video card fit physically in computer case?
Compare size of this and your cards in mm.
2) does the power supply have 8-pin connector?
3) does the power supply provide enough power?
Not familiar with Rx570 but Rx 6600 should draw less power according to internet (rx 6600 draws 132 watts while Rx 570 draws 150 watts). Main worry would be 1 and 2 imo.
