So annoying all of these business card and account deals are around when i have no business stuff to use them for... I am wanting to find good cash bonus deals for personal checking, savings, and credit cards.

You can transfer from one bank account to another and that qualifies as a qualifying transaction. Makes for an easy 60k points.

Fair warning that can potentially save others needless work. Went through as a sole proprietor and did the whole song and dance including License and Picture etc. And on top of all that, Amex wanted me to give them an authorization to review my official IRS tax return (IRS 4506-C). All for an CHECKING ACCOUNT! And one that is so utterly useless beyond the 60K points that most of us have no intention of using. I am going to throw away the app and unfortunately a hard pull rather than volunteer this level of intrusion. Hope it helps others make a more informed decision before you begin.

Deep down in the T&Cs page that is linked to.

The Welcome Bonus may be taxable income to you and may be reported on IRS Form 1099. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from the offer. Please consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of the Welcome Bonus.

Side comment: credit card points are "earned" so there is no IRS element. Points related to a checking account are a "gift" and therefore taxed by taxman. As a result, all checking points deals are luke warm - only get the account if it's the best account for your needs.

I would say it's very good deal. If you really have business and cash on hand just keep in here for 60 days and 10 bank transfer count to wards you deal. $600 is yours.

Good to know. They are obviously trying to weed out people who just want the points with no intention to maintain the relationship beyond that.

How do they assign a monetary tax value to points that have a variable value depending on how they are used? They assume 1 cent per point?
