You sound like the guy without any tools, always asking to borrow his neighbors' tools.
I've bought tons of tools without the immediate need for them and 9 times out of 10, have ended up eventually needing them. So often, I hear people put off tackling a project or replacing repairable things because they didn't have or didn't know tool existed.

Bought it mostly because I wanted some screwdrivers I can hit with a hammer to remove screws with stripped heads. The extraction sockets will probably come in handy at some point and I'm guessing I'll start using their auto pliers instead of my 40 year old channel locks.
Not this exact set, but I have the same 90T ratchet from another set and it's easily my favorite ratchet.
The bolt biter sockets are nice in that they don't totally destroy the fastener like typical extractor sockets do. I mostly agree with the many amazon review comments[amazon.com] - nice to have but kinda pricey.
I would think so. You may need it once in a blue moon. For those occasions, this would be worth it. Think of it as insurance for the future. If not, the ratchet is a 90T so it would be better than others out on the market if you haven't bought one lately.
Was waiting for a deal on the 3/8 and 1/4 120x's but this looks like it's well worth it with everything else you get. Now I only have to wait for 1/4 120x to go on sale 😃
Wow I wish I knew about this set a few years ago, the amount of time Ive run into damaged nuts or screws is far too many. Last time I was changing my wife's car break pads and one nut was so rounded there was just no way for me to remove. I had to close everything up and go to a shop to do the job. Cost a lot more than $40 so this is definitely nice to have as an insurance for when the time comes, as someone stated earlier.

There way too much junk laying around, waiting 'for a Blue Moon' in a typical American household (often bought on credit). In other words, it comes with a regular 4 degree ratchet.

Even at $40?
