From what I've seen on the fragrance subreddit, Costco's high end fragrances are often from batches that are a year or two old. Shouldn't have any effect on the quality, but it's probably just making use of Costco's reach to offload some excess.

This scent does in fact LAST. Like all day and even on clothes I can still smell it a day after in the hamper (not putting a bunch on either). It's very strong but it's one of the most unique fragrances I've ever smelled. It is suppose to be unisex but in feel like it's more of a masculine smell because of the tones and under tones.

Someone bought this for me as a gift and it's smells great. I know it's subjective but so far everyone (women) told me they like it. It also last all day with one spray. If you can afford it this is a great price for what it normally sales for.

I have this and love it - I was taken aback by how many compliments I got when I first started wearing it - by coworkers and patients - people who normally wouldn't say anything. It is not too strong (I'm someone who is always afraid of perfumes being too strong)

I believe this is the case. In some cases it may be excess inventory, or less-popular sku's they're phasing out (like the 5 oz. bottles). In a few cases they're bottles being re-branded (the Maison Margiela replica bottles, for example, are being re-released in refillable bottles)

With that said -- Costco has some awesome deals on fragrances. Lots of good stuff that goes in and out of stock, including very high end ($600+ on costco!), so it's worth checking out.

I actually prefer the "older" bottles as they tend to be a bit stronger due to them sitting. Some people will specifically seek these out.

The only downside: Costco doesn't ship great. They'll put it in a box and there's a chance it'll come damaged/shattered if it's a fragile one (like Spicebomb).

I have a slew (35-40) of $20-$50 bottles of Cologne and one day will pull the trigger on a more expensive bottle like this for example. Well, more likely Santal33 or another woody scent and get a whiff of the good life.
