These work pretty well. I despise installing apps but Kasa has been unobtrusive, so if you have a need for something like this you should be happy for the price point.
i have my subwoofer plugged into it. when i go to sleep i turn off the plug to kill power to save the capacitors. works well. note: you may not need to kill power to your individual sub. for mine it's recommended so save shelf life.
Kasa app has been perfect so far as well as all devices. Wish they made an outdoor cameral that works on the Kasa APP. Looks like the doorbell does but has poor ratings.

Recently purchased one for the Christmas tree, curious to see how well it worked in a Homekit environment vs the handful of Wemo Mini outlets we currently use. Setup was a kludge--Kasa hands off to iOS partway through, iOS wouldn't recognize the code on the outlet, continual failures to connect. After a half-dozen tries, and another claimed failure to connect, it suddenly appeared in the Apple Home app. After that the Kasa app saw it too.
It's worked great after that initial frustration. Reliable performance, no other issues. For the money--as longs as it continues to perform as it should--I can live with the wonky setup experience. Wemos have not been much better in that regard.
