Opposite of this, paid $25 for it and loved playing through the game with friends. We haven't dipped into the season pass yet so I can't comment on that. Definitely worth $7 if you have friends to play with, and IMO even if you don't.

I didn't enjoy this game at all. Played on xbox game pass. I don't think it's worth $7.

You mean versus like in L4D. If they added versus that entire nostalgia factor would have carried it.

Remember the intensity of killing the other team before they got further? They missed all that in this one

This is crossplay btw. it's a pretty decent zombie shooter. definitely worth $7. it got a lot of hate in the beginning I think due to the card system they use to give you buffs and such, that never bothered me everything else is pretty solid.

I am interested but I don't have any friends to play with.

The ultimate edition is only $20 which seems good if plan to buy the expansions.

Do I need to care about the card system? I need something my friends and I can just step in and out of quickly without worrying about learning a new leveling/ buffering system

Yes the game has massive difficulty spikes and you really need to have your decks in order. I seriously despised this game for that reason. Between the cards/deck building and having to purchase weapons/attachments in the safe houses it didn't even feel like a left 4 dead game. It's not just pop in/pop out with no thought involved. You can probably google or youtube good deck builds but bleh I don't want to do homework just to play a shooter. I played it for free on gamepass and it wasn't even worth it. Now some people love it but those people liked all the things I hated about it.

I have gamepass for another year or two. Didn't know if I should try again. Guess I won't since you said it matters
