This game is worth about ten dollars at best. It's really embarrassing compared to the predecessor. L4D2 was incredible. This? No not so much.

Man, this game feels like it really came and went. I think the over complicated the L4D recipe w/ their card management, and a lack of modding tools on the PC doesn't help. Real shame, the foundations seem solid, but I would fire up L4D2 any day before jumping back into this.

I beat the whole game with friends and none of the characters or enemies had personality. In L4D when you saw a witch you actually felt the threat b/c of her sounds, looks, and abilities. Anything could show up in B4B and I'd be like "k lol" then mow it down.

Jeez, that got cheap fast. Perfect example of why I never pre-order or pay full price for video games. You can always get them cheaper if you wait.

The developers did a good job fixing the glitches early in it's release but the game wasn't as fun or entertaining as the original L4d

super sad. I was really excited about this game and its release.

I am glad I never purchased it, especially at full price. I hear so many complaints
I will wait when it hits around 5 bucks at best buy.

Agreed. I would of settled for a Borderlands like leveling system vs cards to encourage the grind.

I really enjoy this game. Dont shy away because of all the so called L4d fanboys. Try and play L4D today compared to this game and see the difference. I was a huge fan of L4D and this game is not the same but that doesnt make it bad. This just requires a different level of skill and tactics. Replayability suffers a bit due to lack of a good PVP mode. There is an update that should come out today that adds more levels and features. I still have a lot of fun when I play and I purchased on day 1, so have it and make your own opinion.

I enjoyed playing through the campaign with friends. Wouldn't touch the game as a solo player or play through it again. The game felt a bit clunky at times. I do recall not being able to remove attachments (the workaround is swapping the attachment with another on the ground). $10 or less is where I'd value it.

Worth the price I originally got it for on release ($48). I would value it at $27-ish max, now that it's no longer a new release. I didn't get the dlc yet. I enjoyed it as a solo player (easy difficulty) and with friends (veteran). Recently just started another playthrough on Nightmare difficulty. It is a very different game on higher difficulties (veteran+). We walk across the map as a squad and cover each other's backs. It is like we are part of a SWAT team, as opposed to running around and shooting on easy mode.

It feels like the same replayability as L4D2, imo but with better gunplay. I've not really played the pvp on there (like 3 matches), I liked replaying the campaigns more.

World War Z is a better spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead IMO. The recently added first person mode brings it even closer.

Amazon and gamestop still have it for $14.99. Have best buy price match it and Ull get a free steel case instead of a "free" steel case for $1 since they're charging $15.99 for both.
