I have both Kasa and Hue and don't really see a difference between them. I switched to hue because I have too many devices on the 2.4ghz wifi band and this freed up some of the bandwidth. If you don't have a lot of items on 2.4, go with Kasa. You may also want to look at Lowes and pickup Cree smart bulbs [lowes.com]. They have a 2-pack of 100w (15W) for 14.99. Some stores have them on clearance. The app is also easy to use.
Ikea also sells their own brand which from what I have heard is really just the Hue in disguise.
Disclaimer: I do not personally know for a fact that the Ikea bulbs and the Hue bulbs are the same, this was third party info.

some of us are crazy and have gone so deep down the hue rabbit hole that we actually NEED an extra hub.

Anyway, seems like a really good deal, especially with the $60 GC
We dug the rabbit hole. We use three hubs.

FWIW I've connected IKEA bulbs to my Hue hub with some effort.

I have probably 10 bulbs and two light strips but what are you guys doing that you need extra hubs? I sold my extra hub and the guy that bought it said he needed an extra one but I didn't ask about it, now I'm curious haha

I have about 35 "lights" (bulbs, hue Go lights, lightstrips, Play lightbars) and about half a dozen other accessories like dimmers.

The lights still work, but there is often a delay in them (you'll sometimes see them turning off one at a time, and it makes Hue Sync useless when it takes a second to update color)

I haven't bothered with another bridge yet, since I just gave up on Hue Sync, but it definitely seems to slow everything down once you add more. I believe the limit they set is something around 45-50 (including accessories like dimmers or motion sensors) per bridge?

Can anyone chime in on the bulb value compared to Wiz and Kasa? Currently have a few of those and they seem good for the $5-$10 a piece they cost VS these at like $25 ish a piece.
Appreciate any info
I'm an Alexa user and an iPhone user. I started buying Hue because of the compatibility with Apple Homekit, but I can't for the life of me get Alexa and Hue to work together. So I'm honestly tempted to give up on Hue altogether.

Got 1% cash back, $60 gift card, Best Buy points on the newer 75W equivalent bulbs. New price per bulb on the River site is $53 a bulb! These bulbs cost $37.25 and includes a hub worth $43, a free $60 gift card, Best Buy points worth $7.50!

Super dumb question but here it goes, are these the latest generation? I bought a new bulb this Black Friday and it can do things my previously owned bulbs can't do.

It looks like this model was released towards the end of last year, so it's likely the most recent. This seems to be the bluetooth/75w version, not the older wifi-only bulbs

I'm not able to find any mention of the $60 gift card when I login too. The only Best Buy gift card promo that shows up for me are for the Hue Lightstrips, not bulbs.
