Not really a deal here. These were all $600 minus $150 coupon making this effectively $20 more now compared to much of December at $450.

Good to know. Thank you!

Does anyone have any experience with this model? Wondering if it's any good.

I bought one for my wife and she uses it all day in her WFH job. The frame and motors are good but the desk top is really crappy and thin. I'm considering either building a better desk top or buying a replacement. The L shaped desk tops are hard to find though. Vivo makes one but it is much larger. Vivo also makes 2 parts that you can put together as an L shape, but then you lose that angled part in the corner. That said, if you want a desk that comes with a better desk top the price goes up a lot.

We also added a slide out keyboard tray in the corner and it was not easy to find one that would fit and was relatively sturdy and wobble free when typing. L shaped desks don't work too well with a keyboard tray in the corner so if you want one that's something to consider as well.

I probably wouldn't buy this brand again. I would just spend the extra money to get one that comes with a solid desk top. Unfortunately, desks are rarely returnable because they are so heavy so if you buy it then you're stuck with it.

I bought one of these on an amazon business account and it was priced at $450 but also had the coupon so the total was $300 ish. Worth looking into if you have a business prime account

As for the desk: it's nice. I have no complaints except they didn't ship some of the alignment dowels so the desk isn't exactly flush. I'm trying to have more sent to me by the seller and imagine things will be settled shortly. The motors are nice and I was told they move quickly. Pretty satisfied all in all

Better off getting the legs from monoprice and then sourcing your own tops. I found two 30x60 pieces on Amazon that have worked for me but others have even used butcher block counter tops from Lowe's.

I bet you could find an Ikea Galant desk on local Craigslist and swap them out for cheap. Those Galant tops are 1/2" thick and heavy as heck.

That's a great tip. Thanks. It is really hard to find pre-made L shaped tops that don't come with a desk.

Here's the one made by Vivo:
https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Unive...SK-TOP2CB/

Alternatively, you can get two straight tops and make an L:

60x24
https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Unive...07TY2M9D1/

43x24
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TZKY...7TY2M9D1_0

But again, if you go this route you're probably better off buying the Monoprice base desk.

tried different brands of standing desks. Finally settled with vari. Only 4 screws to assemble, although heavy, less likely will damage the table top if you don't have to screw or unscrew. The major problems with the entry level ones. If you have to move to another place and to take off the table top. Since it uses wood screws, it will make it almost impossible to re-screw with low quality thin laminate compress boards

Yeeeeaaaaaaa AMAZON FAILED meeeeee.... placed order on Black Friday for a desk at $116. Never got the desk, seller said desk was delivered, than took down the post on Amazon, now the same desk is being sold for 499.99 by a larger small business - Amazon support lately feels like giving birth. Quick everyone support the small businesses on Amazon so you end up empty handed. Most of them should go out of business for their unprofessionalism.

I've thought about doing the monoprice route but I bet I would mess up the install and have crooked desk or it would not be aligned correctly. I need pre-drilled holes! Plus if you do put on a different top you are then decreasing the amount of wait you can put on the desktop since the desktop itself is going to weigh a lot more. Probably not an issue for most people.

I've been leaning toward this desk, just because as you mentioned before, getting a nice one is expensive. The others on my list are all near $1500 if you want a triple motor one. I really should force myself to become accustomed to working with a straight desk but I've had an L shaped desk for over 20 years and it is hard to think about using a mouse without the rest of my arm resting on a desktop.
