Man i really want to order this since it's a decent price, but I got both the 9 and then the 10 and both were returned because both have absolutely terrible connectivity issues. Couldn't use the app and it was a complete nightmare. Tried with 4 different devices and it was the same on all. I've heard the newest ones still have these issues too, it's a shame because the cameras are great, but they're such a huge headache because of this and you lose 90% of the usability.

You'll absolutely get your money back. GoPro is customer of UPS. It's on GoPro to get the product to you, regardless of which carrier they use. If it isn't delivered, you didn't get what you paid for. I would give them one more chance to refund you, mention that you'll do a chargeback if they don't.

Doesn't look like Subscriptions apply.
Also, I bought using the Slickdeals link on my desktop but the offer states that it needs to be through GoPro.com/amex or mobile app. Anybody get a confirmation of the $40 credit from Amex?

At GoPro website, they pop up for 15% coupon if you provide them email. Does it work on this deal?

Good luck canceling order from GoPro. Tried to cancel and the order never would pull up. Call this morning and they said it's already shipped. Wish I knew the amex offer wouldn't work. Ugh

This seems to be happening more and more. I ordered a very expensive leather motorcycle jacket from Europe, disappeared out of box once went through customs here in the US.
Internal investigations finally recovered the jacket and delivered it to me couple months later.
Wound up in a pawn shop in Memphis TN.
I would suggest going by local ups terminal and opening a case to get an internal theft claim started as I had to do.

Is there a good GoPro type camera yet for making more of an action movie, where you frame shots and all? (Rather than just strapping to a bike or helmet for hours of boring video.)

I'm still using my old Panasonic FT-5 waterproof with 1080p and optical zoom for hikes, climbing, rafting, diving, etc. Because I can easily frame and compose shots.

Would like to upgrade, but it's got to have a nice viewfinder screen (hopefully not only super wide angle) and be easy to compose shots like a regular movie camera.

i didn't see this clarified, but you have to pay $50 for the 1 year subscription to get the $200 discount? So it's really $250 for the camera?
