Picked this up exactly a year ago for around $12. It works well. It is not RGBW, so the white is blueish, but the other colors are decent. The motion detector works flawlessly... actually better than I though it would.

You probably could but it would require you to do some soldering to connect the strips together and on top of that upgrade the power supply to support the higher load. Not really something that is plug and play.

What do you use for your kitchen counter?
Items is out of stock right now on Amazon, but I believe they have a new version of it.
This is the item name as I don't want to post a link if slickdeals takes it down:

""Sumaote Dimmable LED Strip Lights Kit, WiFi Controlled 16.4ft 12V Waterproof Led Strips SMD 2835 300 LEDs Lighting Voice Control, Dimmable, Timing Function, 6000K Cool White""

I've used it for a little over 2 years now. Was a bit of a pain to set up to be honest. But most of these smart things are weird with their setups. They really look good in my opinion. Very consistent lighting compared to separate strip lights that I've seen used in other homes in the past.
We use routines like "alexa, snack" and it turns on dim in the evening to run for a movie snack break. ha! Except of course once a month Alexa will tell us "snack is a race horse from...." weird.
We also have google in the house so it's set up there too.

These strip lights are usually very thin and cheap feeling and need to be handled with care. We bent it too much a few times during installing but were able to solder it back. Some of the thinnest wiring I have ever seen. So just take your time to install.

Uses the Magic Home app of which I actually bought a second light strip (RGB this time) for accent lighting under the bed. With that one I went with color.

I bought 6 of them last year for DIY projects, the motion sensor works flawlessly with stairs, undercabinet, and closets LEDs.

What are people using for under cabinet light strips where you have large gaps in between cabinet runs? Is there some sort of wireless led strips that run from a hub you plug in somewhere? Just looking for some help on how to run
You can get basic connectors and RGB cables for running them between gaps. Make sure you buy the same rgb, rgic wires snd connectors. The daylight and other colors works well on this, but don't expect 2700 or 3000k softwhite with these leds, it's more yellowish than softwhite

I just got the lenovo strips but this is tempting for the motion sensor. I should stop though before my whole place is covered in these lights.

I bought mine the same time if you also bought yours last time it was posted on SD. I kept mine on white and ran it along my kitchen counter but a ton of the LEDs turned yellow and wouldn't switch back to white. Ended up replacing it with a non RGB set
Same here, all of mine have many LEDs that have permanently turned color

Is the main benefit to this one the motion control? This one linked below is 50ft for $13.99. I'd rather longer for that price but not sure if its worse quality.

After I installed them. Turns out the the lights will randomly turn back on, even when I cover the sensor. I guess I got a defective set
