Which usually according to the eula makes it illegial, afaik. I doubt MS will go and cancel grey market office keys like they do with Windows keys, but I guess we'll see.

I bought this two times.
1st time installed on 1 PC, no problems, been 8 months.
2nd time would not install, but I waiting beyone the 30 day installation period, so that could be why. There's supposed to be support if you have trouble installing, but I haven't had the time to deal with it.
Just my experience and FYI. If you do get it, don't delay the install.
Yes, I suppose MS could shut it down based on some licensing small print, but 1. They've been known to pull shit with no reason. and
2. They're not a software company anymore. Make their money from data tracking, so they want us to use Office, want people who wouldn't otherwise pay full price. In other words, it benefits them. Heck, Even Bill Gates admits that Windows never would have flown if it weren't for people pirating copies back in the day.

for anyone questioning its questionable nature, just search on here for all the dozens of previous threads..same questions every time it comes up, with lots of stories of people who've "owned" it longer suddenly having their copies deactivated, with microsoft and/or stacksocial support being hit or miss about it.

Selling grey market stolen keys and claiming they are legit is a scam. People getting screwed out of their money after a few weeks or months once the seller has disappeared and their office gets deactivated is a scam.

Stacksocial is just a marketplace for 3rd party sellers. Everytime a seller gets shut down, another (same company behind it, new acct) pops up. Sites like SD and all the others get big referral bonuses and since stacksocial itself is not doing anything illegal, they ignore the fact that the keys themselves are not legit.

Just have a look at the frontpage thread you linked to. Plenty of info in that one and many other threads here recently. Plenty of people in those threads who got burned too. Did you not see the big red warning in the wiki on the front page?

You cannot buy office pro (or even the cheapest home and student) for anywhere near this price.

An advertisement on several referral sites is not "all over the news" lol. Unfortunately many "legit" publications have turned to referral payments as a revenue stream, one of the reasons you can't trust their "articles" recommending products anymore, big surprise each product has a referral link.

None of those sites are selling anything, they are just referring you to stacksocial/stackcommerce, who lets you buy from a 3rd party with a PO box somewhere in the UK.

Feel free to buy it, but just be warned, it may end up being more expensive than just subscribing to 365.

Microsoft wants you to install windows so they can track you, that's why you can get windows home for free by using literally any key from windows 7 and up. They do not want you to get office cheap, they want you to subscribe to 365. That's why they charge over $400 for the 2021 perpetual version, to convince you to move to the subscription model. Office provides them little to no useful data about you. Windows and Edge is the gold mine for them.

Keys do not have a time limit. They just resell the same key so many times they know it will be shut down. It probably wouldn't have worked after 3 days, much less 30.

Someone in one of the other threads claimed these were keys that MS sells much cheaper in 3rd world countries lol. People come up with amazing ways to convince themselves. There are very simple instructions on how to determine the key type you have. In every case in all the other threads, the keys were MSDN and VLK. Both are not for resale and your install will get deactivated once the license is revoked for abuse.

Unfortunately several of the long threads have been deleted by SD and those had lots of info in them I guess once they get their check they want to hide the evidence. But there are still a couple recent big threads.

They do and they have (it is automated). You're a lucky outlier if the key you buy works for more than a few months, and really lucky at a year or more.
