Had one, returned it. Throttled pretty bad. The thermals on this are poor, and an i7 (even though it's u series) worsens the problem. The fans are usually on full blast and not making a dent. Not a huge surprise re: form factor, but the i7 was a mistake.

If you don't need it right now, just wait. This thing will be under 500 on Samsung.com in a few months. Early spring is the best time to buy Samsung laptops.

Picked up the pro version of this at BB, throttles so much. Overall it's nice, fans are pretty quiet though

I do IT work and I really have no particular preference for a specific platform. I use all, Chromebook, iPad, Galaxy Tab, iPhone, Windows, Linux, etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll try to find a more durable laptop.

The screen is gorgeous, yet very fragile from reading frustrated customers. it's BS samsung won't sell covers for it(9h just like phones arent avail) so had to buy from 3rd party so it doesn't fit right. Still , I have an IPS 1440p monitor 27 inch and the OLED touchscreen spanks it. It's for web browsing, work, typing, word, emails, video streaming mostly. Don't have expectations of gaming. Battery on saver with quiet mode is 11ish hours. So i'm cool with that coming from Dell mobile desktops. Charges quickly . I got this summer for $700 new which was a steal from best buy. Just be wary, the warranty is overpriced bc THEY KNOW the screen brakes if it is mishandled. You have to baby it. I got it for a crazy price which was advertised on buildapcsales... for this price, yeah I would . This version is better than the PRO bc the pro uses more power.
