Same price at Sweetwater, this is the usual price, not a deal at all. Got my SM58S (on/off switch) from Sweetwater with one of their coupons a few years back for a couple of dollars less. Great workhorse mic.
Not being a SD aside, how is this as a mic? I'm looking for a solid versatile mic for work and maybe play (i.e., music). I don't want a podcast WFH mic cause they generally strike me as crap.
This price point is attractive. Tho I'd go up $50 to $100 if it really worth it. I've been looking for a couple of weeks. I'm spending more in time than the purchase.
p.s. Maybe I upgrade from this eventually? I just don't want crap that I'd immediately regret.

You would need a USB mixer or Interface for it. You might be better off jumping to the MV7 to cut down on clutter.

The $199 MSRP at Amazon is inflated.

I'll take the clutter if it means not having to purchase a mic for work, and another for play.
