Wow that worked! I will rep. you. In case the SD link above doesn't work, after you login as SmartSeed says, copy and paste this URL in your browser. https://tps.fidelity.com/tps-api/v1/redirect-to/turbo-tax-cd?fidelityContextCode=oltx
Then I logged into Intuit. It showed up as $105, but I did the trick someone else suggested to add a random Intuit product to the cart, then delete it. Then I was able to check out for $5.41 (tax in TX).
i got so many messages about this. let me answer you all here once in for all. you need to go the beta view to see the offer.
I have the premier offer under the beta view, but when I click to the turbotax website it still gives me only $20 off, even though fidelity says premier for free w/ state. Called Fidelity, they know about the issue and said to wait until the new year as they are working on the problem.

It looks like Intuit raised the price of the download version of TurboTax Premier to $105 this year. I believe it has been $100 the past few years and Fidelity would take $100 off making it free. I think the online version was $69 last year and thus Fidelity takes $69 off to make it free. I wonder if Fidelity just left in last year's discount numbers and hasn't gotten around to updating the discount for the download version to $105 yet?
I thought it was less than $100 previously. I think it's likely on the TT side, maybe they plugged in a max value of $100 for the discount. I have been exchanging emails with the Wealth Management Enablement team (who my email to my rep's team ended up going to) about this. They seem to know who to talk to internally about the offer, so I asked if the intent was for it to be $5 this year for the download version. The problem we may have is that Fidelity only says that you can get the online version, so the download was sort of a hidden extra and they may not be interested in fixing it.
Thanks op. I was just wondering about this several days ago. Repped.
Also thanks to whoever suggested beta view. I had previously turned off beta because I was used to traditional view. Just toggled it back and saw the offer.

https://www.freetaxusa.com - I finally gave up on TurboTax. FreeTaxUSA is better in every single possible way. It's actually free, the UX is easier to navigate, it found multiple issues last year that TurboTax missed *including* their personal tax prep review.
Seriously, TurboTax is designed to suck more money out of your pocket for a service that literally only exists because they continually lobby congress to not make taxes fully automatic as in most other countries in the world.
For the data point... I have the offer...No private client, no active trader pro, no millionaire account balance, not even close. So none of those things are what qualifies you. I do have their credit card and multiple accounts (taxable, ira, 529).

NOTE: The offer wasn't there initially. It took a couple refresh after I toggle the Beta version before I saw the offer.
