Nice!
We did buy strep tests before the pandemic, only because it was CONSTANTLY revolving around the school. Tried to save the doctors time, but the pandemic started and we hadn't got strep in a few years.
You know, if there's a big surge this winter and they didn't make/have enough tests then people would be complaining that they should have made more tests and been prepared.
On the other hand, you make a bunch of tests and there is no big need/surge for them them people complain they were stoopid and made too many tests for no reason.

Also how long do you need them for? I plan on taking one once per week just so I don't pass it along to a bunch of coworkers if I got it but didn't realize yet
Yeah, they are free but don't last long. My guess is these could have been sitting around in some warehouse since they were made April 1, 2022…almost 9 months ago.
However I just found this from Yahoo News:
Quidel: QuickVue-At-Home
QuickVue tests should be stored between 59 to 86 degrees. But according to a statement the company sent out to the media, the company "has performed studies that demonstrate the product performs as expected under different temperature conditions (i.e., heated and frozen conditions) encountered during shipping."
