FYI, if you grab the simpsons cabinet ($199 currently) you can add endless games to it. For an additional $230 or so you can have a new deck with 6 buttons for each player and then you can add in blitz.

tl;dr for $130 more and about 2 hours worth of your time you can have a way better setup with thousands of games installed, but with simpsons graphics instead of blitz graphics and you won't have a stool.

To add to this for my fellow slickdealers with a massive tool collection from here: you can get a "Pandora's Box' from ebay for $80-140ish depending on how many games which is basically a dual arcade controller top with an HDMI hookup. I have one and am planning on building my own cabinet from plywood. This gives you lots more options like say you want to do a countercade or something. Don't necessarily fall into the '8000' game trap I did because it's going to have like 10 versions of the same game, where the '4000' game one may only have 5 or so.

But, time and effort, the main two reasons I haven't started my cabinet yet, but soon! Also, once you throw in a TV/montior, you may not be saving anything, but you can say you built it!
That honestly seems like the play. By the time I take the recommendations of adding the new panel and buttons to my simpsons cabinet. I will be at $300 for cabinet and another $200 to modify. I did get a $150 Dell GC thought so that helps. And you still have to do the work of soft moding and adding games.

Ah yes I remember you now. You are the one that refused to believe I stacked e.bates with slick deal rebate on an OLED. laugh out loud I see you have not changed with 24/7 negativity and literally zero helpful feedback. Keep up the good work.

Are all the stools the same design or is there another variant like each side of the cab?

couldn't you mod the Blitz cabinet as well?
The hardware isn't the same as the simpsons. You need the simpsons micro SD and USB slot

You got me, acting as someone who might be able to help, but really trolling this whole time.
Excellent bait.
I am here for deals, not to hold the hands of people who are too dumb to follow simple tutorials. You should be looking on YouTube or Arcade1Up FB group for that.

Modding comments on here was literally the reason we all bought it. lmao.

You are a Troll, mate….sorry, if you were just here for the deals, you wouldn't have the need to insert yourself into a "dumb person" conversation. Your only contribution was calling people dumb!

Correction, my only contribution was to call dumb people dumb. Also you're off topic anyways and talking about help for retroarch setting in a thread for a cabinet that cannot even install retroarch (further evidence to my first point).

Let's stop the negativity, there's always a lot to learn and no one is dumb. If you think you are far superior than everyone then I am sorry to say that you are very wrong

I was playing it in Costco the other day and I was wondering why I couldnt do any late hits. I had no idea it was an actual code change.
The tackles seemed to have a bit less punch too
This is why im not pulling the trigger on this cab. They removed the late hits, and removed all the hard tackles. Remember they had wrestling moves as tackles like suplexes and such and they just removed them.

Interesting. What is the benefit of creating an arcade cabinet from a Pandora's Box vs. updating the controller, switches and joysticks with on of the arcade1up?

Going the arcade1up route you can purchase premade control board, add switches, joysticks and USB controllers and use the microSD port to import retro games (and/or stream more modern games). That would cost $200 for the cabinet, $100 for the new controller board and $50-$100 for upgraded joysticks, switches and USB controllers (all told about $400).

Going the Pandora Box's route you'd need to purchase or fabricate
1. The cabinet, which will need to be painted (and/or decaled) and t-molded
2. Supply a monitor
3. Supply speakers

That's a lot more personal effort/labor vs. going the arcade1up route. From what I've read the Pandora Box product is nothing to write home about in terms of its build quality, circuitry and its switches and joysticks are mediocre.

Why go to the effort of building a cabinet around this?

Holding out for $199. Still can't justify $300+tax on one game considering all the other options out there for consoles, games, etc. Have two A1Up Partycades that we played for the first few days, but they've just become wall decor as my kids would rather play xbox or on their phones/ipads.

Can you please link the video that shows how to load content to retroarch? Or how to remap the controls to work with the stock joystick/two buttons? Maybe you have to have dig to make it easy but as someone who is not familiar with retroarch. Lean Homes videos do not give some details for a novice unless I overlooked something.

Was debating between this, the Simpsons, and the Pac-Man 12-in-1. I even had Blitz and Pac-Man both in my cart for a while and was fighting the temptation to smash the buy button. Smilie

I've got an Arcade Legends pinball table that I got from Sam's 2 years ago and that I've side loaded CoinOpsX onto with a few hundred video games already. Turns out it's got all 12 of the games included with the Pac-Man deal and both of the Simpsons games.... yet none of the Blitz games. Which made it easy for me to decide.

Bought Blitz, passed on Pac-Man.

Thanks OP. +1 and repped.
