Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Is this completely free or will there be tax/fees everything month?
if your plan include tax and fee then it's fee. if not, you have to pay tax +fee

They just told me on the phone it's "Only Magenta Max" and that we are "Magenta Plus"

It took her FOREVER to tell me that.
I am on the old ONE Plan and was eligible. Paid 35 USD plus tax to park the line for now. Can bring in a device later or maybe never Smilie

I have tmobile one, and here is they response...

So your current plan supports a maximum of 8 lines, but you can update your plan to one that supports 9+ lines, for sure.

However, while you would be able to keep all the 2020 Line on Us promos you took advantage of (nice going!) you would lose the much older 2018 Fall Add 2 line get One Line promo, so it would come out as paying for one more line in the end.

I know that means it may not be worth it to you, or you may want to do the upgrade to the 9+ line plan, paying for one more line, then you'll be sitting pretty to add more lines (maximum of 12) in the future if we have more free line promos (which seem to be coming pretty regular these days!) Let me know what you think! ^ErikaHolema

I'm on Magenta Max and at 11 lines (a lot of them free ones). I went through the Tmobile app and the rep said I qualified for the free line. She asked if I had a phone at home for the line. Told her yes, and then she got the process started. Ended up costing around $37 including tax for the fee, and now I have a 12th line.

can we cancel paid lines and use free lines only..
Same question as well. Has anyone ever swapped their paid line for a free line, and then cancel the paid line? This means moving your number to the free line and then cancelling the paid line.

No go for me. Tried chat and rep and both said I was ineligible. I'm on simple choice with 4 paid lines. Rep didn't know about the deal and afterwards said I'm actually not suppose to know about the deal. Only the people that were selected =(

I'm on that same plan. After clicking that link is it supposed to show an option to add another line?

Same here. Because the other lines had grandfathered promos such as free extra data that no longer exist in their system, T-Mobile does not allow adding those promos to new lines so you are left with a very "bare" line with almost no data. It is indeed an uphill battle if you want to match new lines with the old lines.
My rep made it work for my plan when I recently added lines for Simple Choice…. But the guys at the other end of my sales associates's line while in-store told him this was a once-only thing, so I could see how it'd be an uphill battle for many.

I just called 611 and got a friendly rep. Initially rep thought you needed the device available to avail. Hung but got an immediate call back to correct his information and confirmed can activate and park. Just paid the fee.

I'm on Simple Choice and and was told by chat just now that I qualify.
They also assured me that the new line would have the same data as my existing lines, though I suspect that will be an uphill battle from other reports I've seen with Simple Choice.
I am on one of the simple choice family match plans. I added a line about a year ago and it added with the 10gb data that is specified for my plan, but after a few months it "upgraded" to the unlimited data that was on all of my other lines.
