Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I contacted them via chat and here is what I was told.

"Upon checking here that your account it seems it is not yet eligible for your account/rate plan. No worries you will receive a notification if its eligible for you. Also this promotion is still in progress some customer might have it and some will might get it on the few days."

We are on FRLTUL2LP (2/$100 which becomes 2/$80 with insider hookup discount from 2017 and This One's On Us free 3rd line) and forever stuck with 3 lines. According to the wiki in this thread from 2020, we can switch to FRLTULF2 (2/$120 with Netflix, which becomes 2/$96 with insider hookup).

But all posts suggest not to use chat to do this switch, since they will just switch you to Magenta. They suggest contacting TForce via Twitter. Most recently someone suggested doing it 2 months ago on Reddit [reddit.com], so I'm asking on Twitter if they can do it for me.

My family didn't subscribe to Netflix back in 2020, so staying on the old plan made more sense (and forgoing any free lines). Now that we do, it makes sense to start adding these free lines, especially since my eldest will be a teenager soon.

This is the excerpt from the wiki by GreenCreature437

Please let me know if it worked for you.
I'd love to use free line for data, so I'd save even more - total for 4 lines would be $86.40, so basically $6.40 for an extra line + free netflix

Thanks

Used the chat and was told I qualify, but needed a sim card which I do not have. Ended up saying I can go into the store to get a new sim for my phone. Is that how it is? Even if you have a phone, you still need a sim card?

They may ask for the IMEI, but they'll mail you a sim card

Yes you need a sim or esim but they should just ship it to you.

Called 611, connected to a US rep. She could not locate the Promo ID and checked with her support team. Came back a few minutes saying this is a "Internet Scam" and it is not a valid tmobile offering. WTH?

Also, twitter chat never responded for over 6 hours.

I had an old sim laying around from an old free tablet data deal (100MB a month or something silly). Pulled it out, let her know the SIM#, popped it in an android phone I had sitting around, done.

Took about an hour via chat from the tmobile app. I'm on a 7yr Simple Choice Unlimited + 10GB hotspot plan. She says my legacy data stash was even applied over - we'll see.

thanks, Op!

Oh, and I referred to it as the 'Free line Christmas offer' and the rep in chat new exactly what I was talking about. didn't even have to provide the promo code...and it was not showing up in any of my offers on the web or in the app.

Worked for me. In the chat they kept saying it's not available yet then T-Mobile called me directly to intervene with the chat not being helpful. On top of it they gave me a $35 account credit due to chat individual for not being helpful. I've only had the line since August so that 12 month rule I saw posted from someone else was BS from another rep it sounds like.

They asked for an IMEI of the BYOD but that phone needed to be charged up and they said don't worry about it and continued processing the order. check my account and the credit has been applied and the order approved.SIM is being mailed to me. No other charges outside of the $35 that they instantly credited

awesome, just activated a new line with this promo on the Tmobile Chat. it was a piece of cake, especially when i have an extra phone and unused sim card. the representative on the chat did state that i cannot cancel any line for the next 12 months in order to maintain this free promo. i dont know how true this is.

I also have Simple Choice family plan and added a line today via chat, paid $35 as well.

Do you see your new line listed in your account yet? I still have not seen it after 2 hours. The rep said I won't see it until I activate the sim card which is being shipped to me.
I still don't see the new line on my account and it's been 6 hrs. However, the rep gave me an order number and I also got the confirmation email.

I paid the $35 directly not through monthly bills.

I wonder how long it would take for the new line to show up in my account.

Can anyone confirm?
