Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I'm on the T-Mobile ONE plan with 5 lines. I checked with TMobile chat and confirmed that I qualify. When asked about the $35 fee, they said it's an activation fee that is charged for all new lines, not a DCC fee, so cannot be avoided by self-servicing.

I decided to proceed with them anyway, then they wanted to upgrade my plan to Magenta Plus. claiming cannot add a new line to T-Mobile ONE plan.

Anyone in similar situation have any luck?
No need to change your plan.

I am on the one plan and added the promo yesterday.

Just got this from T-Force.

"Hi there! We appreciate you for reaching out to check out what amazing offers we are cooking up this holiday season! The offer you are referring to is a surprise gift for a targeted set of customers. While you're not eligible for this specific offer, we are always coming up with new offers to delight our customers! Please be sure to keep up to date at {blank}, as we continue to roll out new offers for the holidays! Thanks!"

My account is never eligible for these free lines lol

Is the new line also part off the ONE plan? The kick back for using under 2gb data is awesome, would love to keep it.

Were you able to add it on your own to avoid $35?

Thanks for the reply. Did it automatically upgrade your new SC line to unlimited or you had to send a message? If so, through FB? Twitter?
Not automatically, I messaged them through iMessage

I'm sure, but now its backfired they should fix the problem by making it available for everyone rather than reducing customer service for the whole Tmobile customer base because people can't get thru on help lines, loyal customers now feeling like second class customers etc etc
Have you ever seen an "organized" promotion from them? Most of the time they seem to build the plane as they fly or define the ins and outs of the promotion while it is already live and most of the time the agents are the last to hear about it. Standard operating procedure. Big Grin

On a business essential plan with 6 voice and 5 digits line. Rep (store; imessage and tforce) said my account does not qualify. One said its because we got a free line in 2021 another said its not for business accounts and the last one said its a targeted promo. Someone with the similar account might get it and others wont. Does not make sense.

Asked via twitter about 14 hours ago, just got the following response:

Good afternoon and happy holidays, my friend! Super glad you reached out to us because I've got great news for you! This holiday season, we have an amazing, limited-time promotion just for some of our loyal customers. As a thank you for your loyalty, we are giving the gift of a free voice line. All you need to do is bring your own device, maintain your current rate plan, activate a new voice line, and do not cancel any voice lines for a year. Your new voice line will be free after monthly bill credits! You can activate the new line yourself on http://MyT-Mobile.com or in the app here sooner, or wait for the next available specialist to add it within our team: https://t-mobile.com/support/acco...our-accoun Please note there won't be any indicator online or special process for activating this line to make it free, just because your account is set up right for it, the normal add a line order flow is just what to follow and you'll be good to go!

Edit: T-Mobile One plan FRLTULFM9

I will give it a go then.
I got the same repsosne after asking over 16 hours ago. I guess I'll try it too. I'm on a Simple Choice plan. We'll see if it works. I can awlays cancel and ask to get my money back since I have it in writing.

The new line added as my 12th voice line on the one plan. I have 6 free lines now including insider discount.

I've got kickback, one plus promo on all my lines except the new one.

Is there a port-in rebate able to be stacked with this free line now?
I don't think anyone knows the specifics, based on the original post it says device deals won't work and guessing other rebates. I doubt they would allow a port-in rebate in addition to the free line for life.

Check t-mobile area on REDDIT they sometimes post the codes there or call around to local stores to see if employee has one to give you for porting in new lines. The current insider codes are for new customers only.

That's quite a combo you assembled there, well done. I don't think it does get any better than that. A keeper for life. ;-)
