So if my new line that I've just added shows the 2022 BYOD Line P1 promo, then I should be getting the monthly discount to offset the $30 cost right? Because I asked tforce and they're telling me otherwise. For the record, everyone I've chatted with said I don't qualify for this promo, but I went ahead and just added the new line to my account anyway, and I did get the text about the promo.
U need to get that text from 456 to say Congratulations...

That's what the OP says but there are tons of people in this thread and Reddit who had a single line and got the promo and free line added.. that's the frustrating part
Don't recall seeing any posts from those with a single line who was able to add this. I haven't read the entire thread but seems pretty clear that you need two paid lines.

Thank you. So Tforce confirmed that my account has hte promo. Do you think it is safe to just do a self service order for a new line with physical SIM? it is showing me $0 total for day and $20 monthly charge (the price of adding a new line to the plan).

Worst case, if promo doesnt apply/work, I guess I can simply cancel the line, right?

TForce is usless and telling me this

Thank you for hanging in there with me. At this time, the 2022 Holiday Unwrap offer cannot be combined with a Device Connection Charge waiver.

You may have the option of going through self-service to add the line thus activating a self-service Device Connection Charge waiver, regrettably, there is no guarantee that the promotion will continue to apply to the line.
I had two T-Force reps tell me it would apply automatically if I ordered online. Sim hasn't shipped yet but I'm hopeful. I've got the DMs to prove it and if all else fails I can just dump the line within 14 days.

Simple choice, just text 611 and got it

Following is my chat

I just want to add a free line using the BYOD promo code

Rep:
Good news! I see you are eligible! We can go ahead and add a line and get a sim for your phone today. Promotion will automatically applied on the new line. Promo credits will apply 1 to 2 bill cycle from the date line is activated.

Make sure you not to cancel any lines within 12 months to keep the offer

No luck on the last 3 days to be eligible. i'll ask again on monday (19th), and regardless if it's eligible or not, I'll add the eSim online and hope for the best.

You can call 611 or walk into a store and they will do it for you. I just did this today, it took about 5 min to setup and I got a notification on my phone to activate the eSIM less than 10 min later. After the eSIM activates, you can remove the physical SIM.
Thanks. I was however able to do it by myself using another iPhone. First I moved physical sim as esim to 2nd iPhone and then moved the esim from 2nd to the original one. Little bit convoluted but worked.

Huh I just called and they said I have the BYOD P1 promo, but the rep said I have to add 2 extra lines to get the 1.

I'll try again tomorrow with a different rep since that does not sound like the promo everyone else is getting.

Do that after a week or so later, so it will easier. Doing to many thi gs at once will possibly complicate things to not go smoothly, but that's just my two cents
