I suspect a lot of these other higher percent cashback offers people are seeing are likewise not going to apply because of the type of transaction.
Scroll down on the TCB page giftcards to view different rates for different categories.
Already tried 4 times and still same error.
Don't bother wasting time on cashback coz Giftcards.com won't pay out when the order is with a coupon.

Gee thanks for that possible gotcha Citi! Going to just use BoA card & hope that it's coded as internet purchase so it qualifies for 3%.
