The gpu temp is worse, but the cpu temp is better. This is due to the size of the case. The 216 is bigger, but the 215 does have better cooling.Even in the test, the 215 is 3-5c better in thermals for the gpu which means it has better airflow.

Not just that, but you can much more easily find great quality 200mm replacement fans, for when they kick the bucket or just if you want to "upgrade" them. Also, the 216's case is warped at the top. That is a huge NOPE for me.

Truth is you can't go wrong with either. GPUs aren't getting any smaller Nvidias GPU are getting massive so if you want to completely future proof go 216.

Based on Lian li's 4090 fit page, 215 fits only fe (and msi trio/pny) (using 1 to 4 adaptor) while 216 fits all models

I feel like if I would to be buying a 1500$ GPU I would be buying more then a 89$ case 🤣. So many mute points.

It was $80 at my local MC on BF. They also had some Repackaged ones for like $55-60. Seems like $89 is the regular price @ MC from what I've seen kin the last 3-4 months.

A case is a case at some point the quality is good enough and anything more is just for convenience and style.

From what I remember Lian Li did not make this case. They had a vendor make the case for them. Not sure if the new 216 is made the same way. But when GN did a review on this case a couple years ago that's what they said.

The 216 has all these gimmicks to shift the mobo up or down for top mount rads. So I'm guessing they engineered that case.

Plus the 216 is larger and cards are getting 12" and up for even mid tier.

Thanks for correcting me. Idk IMO if you are going to go with something top end like a 4090 etc that is the size of a shoe box maybe put it in something like a 5000d?
