Randomly asked a guy in the blue short if they have a pair of 9500S. I knew price ($299) but wondered price of open box.
He looked into computer and
Turns out Brand new available for delivery for
$120.99 after $179 discount.
I couldn't believe it and triple-checked model/bestbuy online (open box for $189). Ordered immediately.

Can also confirm, got two sets at the Jantzen Beach Center Bestbuy in Portland OR for $120.99ea. Rep confirmed that it was ringing as clearance. Got it ordered and shipped.

Oh well, I just went into the store in Springfield, Illinois and he used his terminal at the front counter and just ordered for the $120 price....

Went into BB today and headed to the home theater department. An associate listened to my inquiry about these speakers but said he's "never heard of doing that before." He pulled it up on his phone and saw it was listed for $299.99. I asked if he could pull up on his BB terminal and he left to ask his manager. His manager said that "they don't do that" and "sorry for your luck."

I walked straight to customer service and asked the rep near geek squad if he could pull it up on his terminal. He agreed and there we go- $120.99. He ordered for in-store pickup at that price and we're good to go.

Just maybe have to be a little persistent.

I went to bestbuy today to check on the price. Directly went to checkout to ask for the item. He checked using item number and it was showing $299.00. Asked if they can find using SKU number and current price is 120.99 without tax. Thanks for the post @akvtest

Yes it shows 299, but you need to go in person to the store and ask rep to search it by SKU. I got one today for $120.
