FYI, you can get the same filtration by purchasing the regular V15 with the extra accessories, then you can buy the official HEPA filter (once it is back in stock): https://www.dyson.com/support/jou...970013-03. This filters down to .1 microns vs the standard filter (.3).

Last month if you signed up for their welcome rewards+ they were offering a coupon that was usable on Dyson products. I don't think it is good anymore.

I ended up getting the V12 for $434 after taxes and the $29 fee as well as a $100 store credit because I checked out through buybuybaby on their website.

I've had this thing for a little over a year and it is awesome. The laser seemed gimmicky, but it is really useful. I can't speak to the longevity with the bagless system, which I know is the primary complaint on Dyson. I can see how that may end up being an issue but it hasn't yet. So far I'm sold.

Note that Dyson announced the new flagship vacuum called the 'Dyson Gen5 Detect'. It is available in parts of Asia but not announced when will be available world wide yet. You can google to see the 'improvements'. But could be we will see a downward trend on pricing as they bring a new flagship vacuum to market.

$1500 AUS is $1000 in USD. I like top-of-the-line vacuums as much as the next guy, but I have to draw the line somewhere. $1000 seems like a great place for that line.
