For everyone's knowledge, grade 3 is actually the lease secure lock. It's okay to use on interior doors, but I won't use it for any entry door. Grade 3 can easily be defeated by lock bumping tools.

As a locksmith I have not found a sub $100 keypad that I would recommend. Schlage has a couple for $130-$150 that are good such as this one at Lowes: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Schlage-...1002372570

The grading goes the other way:
Grade 1 is Best
Grade 2 is 2nd best
Grade 3 is 3rd best
if someone make a grade 4 or lower do not buy it.

So a grade 4 or higher for entry doors? I have no clue about the lock grades, so please excuse my ignorance.

Thanks for the info. Any sub $100 keypad deadbolts that are grade 1 or 2? It seems lots of products don't list the grades when I do a search.

As a locksmith I have not found a sub $100 keypad that I would recommend. Schlage has a couple for $130-$150 that are good such as this one at Lowes: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Schlage-...1002372570

I appreciate your expertise and recommendation. I'll consider spending more for something so important such as safety. Repped

Unless you luck into a crazy deal on a Schlage, under $100 is unlikely for grade 1 smart lock.

If someone smashes it then would that disable the key mechanism?
