It's probably illegal to kill bugs in California. Sorry, couldn't resist.
I've had this for a few years and almost no bugs fly to the bulb to get zapped. I don't think the UV lamp is strong enough to attract them.
No, you'll hear the usual useless 'thoughts and prayers.' lol

Probably doesn't have the appropriate cancer warning or light efficiency standards

I'm sure this works, but how do you clean this thing with all the bug skeletons?

That's where you're mistaken it uses "force" to deal with them so it's long distance kills.....but in reality it sucks at doing it's job so you don't have to worry about cleaning it since nothing will be stuck to it.

Bug zappers are pretty much worthless at killing mosquitoes or any other biting insects, which are mostly attracted to the smell of your blood.

Arguably, they might make mosquitoes worse, by luring them at a distance, until something more attractive (you) is easier to find.

They kill *lots* of bugs attracted to UV light... pollinators like moths, parasitic wasps (harmless to humans, but prey on ticks, flies, aphids, etc.). They kill bugs that are food for bats: animals that happen to do free pest control for us.

They also mist bug guts everywhere.

Bug zappers are stupid.

Or requires a background check and a license
