I was thinking about getting this set but it looks like Lowes used to carry this brand. They didn't carry this special package deal but they did carry all the individual pieces. The reviews are pretty bad overall.

Most were about having to buy whole set if you want to connect more , than just some specific items to make custom designs. Price seemed a bargain imho

The Costco reviews are about having to buy more sets being hard to find. The Lowe's reviews are about bad bulbs mostly. One of the big issues with Costco reviews is you can't go back and edit or update reviews. I've had that issue before when I put a review in only to have the product fail early or have issues and not be able to go back and change it. I really don't put a ton of faith in Costco reviews because of it unfortunately.

Good price if enough lights for your needs, otherwise everyone says you can't find more so pretty useless if you need more or some stops working

Also here's a review that confirms you can.. but the second speaker becomes useless.

I like the fact that it creates different lights while syncing to music. The lights are little short though so we end up buying more and having duplicate speaker that we dont need. Tried to find and buy just the lights but there is no stock anywhere else so we have to buy 2 from costco. Originally bought it for 299. But then it dropped to 199 and i had the chance to do price adjustment.
overall very satisfied.
Take note i can connect the small stake snowflake into the lights but the big snowflake can only be connected to the end of the lights/ as stand alone. Next yr when we will put it back on we'll make sure to take note of that.

you could probably connect 2 sets and have a spare speaker. If it doesn't work just return it. The biggest issue I see is if something stops working appears to be impossible to replace a light string for example. Warranty on product is 30 days, so pretty expensive really when you can't get parts and virtually no warranty. Lowes probably dropped product if they were getting a lot of returns. I am passing.

But through Costco depending on the product category, it would be a t least several years (if designated as electronic) to forever
