Personal observation:

The moment I apply a gift card balance to my uber eats account, it stops sending me promo codes for discounted food.

So, the trick is to apply the balance immediately after you get the promo code, especially if it is for 2x / 3x use. For example, 40% off next 3 orders.

You can be reasonably sure you'd utilize a good part of the gift card balance for the 3 meals. Order 1 on the same day you get the promo and add the gc balance while paying for it. Order 2nd time towards the end of the promo validity. At the very end of the validity of the promo, schedule the 3rd order as far out as the app lets you.

This way, you don't burn thru $$ all at once. Plus you have a steady supply of food coming thru at discounted price. And you don't have to worry about when the next promo would drop in your account as well as no worries about too many funds blocked in uber eats without any promos to take advantage of either.

Hope it helps.

Haven't really noticed this but will check for it on this deal. There always seems to be some kind of promo in there all the time now and I typically have Uber Cash in there.

Thanks for the heads up

A question for anyone with the Amex Uber $10 or $15 credit: are the Amex credits used up first before gc monies?

No because the gift card is in usd, not cad. It is the same thing for Mexico. Uber doesn't convert it.

Lyft has to be willing to offer their gift cards at a discount. Best Buy isn't going to eat up that cost.

So…it's $80 for $100 in credit, that will buy $50 worth of carry out food after all the fees, tips, etc. Nah, I'm good…I prefer being ripped off for food the normal amount lol.
