Code is dead? Having a nightmare trying to replicate
When I checkout I get a notification that the code is P1XE12022 - I tried it and it worked. So P1XE12022 seems to be the new extra $250 off code.

Did a few thread searches and skimmed several pages, so I hope this hasn't already been asked (too lazy to read every page);

Can I activate my pixel 7 with a new google fi number to test it out during my 14 day return period, then if I decide to keep it port my tracfone number, around the end of week 2 or sooner, to satisfy the promotional terms (30 days to port)?

That way, in the unlikely event that the pixel 7 isn't for me and I return it, I don't lose the tracfone number on my iphone. I'm just out the (possibly prorated?) cost of half a month of google fi service.

Thanks in advance for any replies and tolerance of my lazy butt.

EDIT:
chatted with a Fi rep, who confirmed this is possible, I'll list the chat if I can find the dang spoiler tags

Bought an iPhone 11 from Metro just to do this deal.

Someone else mentioned it's ~$91 out the door after trade in. I bought the iPhone 11 for ~$120, so the total out of pocket for me on this Pixel 7 Pro will be ~$210. Scorching hot deal!
Same here. Got the iphone 11 for $140 OTD and then traded that in for Pixel 7 256 GB. It should be arriving today. The extra from the trade will pay for the two months of services that Fi needs. I think this is a better deal than Black Friday if you trade in the Iphone 11 especially.

I transferred from a Google voice # and I had to pay $3,00 to " unlock " the number no biggie I guess!
Is your GV number tied to a Google account different from the one used for ordering the phone? For each Fi deal, I created a new Google account and obtained a GV number for that account to port in. I've done 3 Fi deals with porting in from GV, never had to pay the $3.

The SIM is already installed in the phone. Did you open the box then the SIM tray and check? I don't know if Fi installed the SIM before sealing the box, or the factory installed the SIM, but all my Fi S22 and Pixel phones came with the SIM installed and the boxes were sealed.

Did you check the SIM tray? Unless you used eSIM, can't port in/activate without a physical SIM.

Got an email from FedEx:
FedEx Express National Service Disruption: Severe Winter Weather
Friday, December 23, 2022
FedEx Express experienced substantial disruptions at our Memphis and Indianapolis hubs last night due to severe winter weather that has been moving across the United States. The weather has created potentially hazardous operating conditions, and the safety of our team members remains our number one priority.

Potential delays are possible for package deliveries across the U.S. with a delivery commitment of Friday, December 23 and Saturday, December 24. We recognize the importance of deliveries this holiday weekend. Contingency plans are in place, and we are prepared to provide the best possible service as conditions allow.
===========================

Fortunately, my Fi P7 came from IL, went through IN hub yesterday and made it to KS for on-time delivery today 12/23.

I ordered a Pixel 7 on a current Fi account. No port info was required at purchase. Trying to activate via esim and the only option given is to transfer my number from my Fold 4 to the Pixel 7. Fold 4 still has 49 days to meet promo conditions. Can't figure out how to get a new number. This deal is a bit more complicated without a physical sim. I may end up just returning and wait for the next deal to come along.
Update. Used fi account to invite myself(different gmail). Activated esim on primary account. Assigned a new number (no port required). Phone activated no problems. 12 hours later the $250 promo updated that activation is complete. Still waiting on $200 promo to show phone is activated.

Thanks for the data point. My P7 is due for delivery today. I'll see if it has one. My previous Fi deals (3 samsung S22, one Pixel 4a) all came with the SIM already installed.
