After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Update. Used fi account to invite myself(different gmail). Activated esim on primary account. Assigned a new number (no port required). Phone activated no problems. 12 hours later the $250 promo updated that activation is complete. Still waiting on $200 promo to show phone is activated.
How did you see the $250 promo update that activation is complete?

Just got the Pixel 7 delivered today. No physical SIM included in the box nor in the phone itself. I was able to use the eSIM to start the plan and also able to transfer a phone number from Tello (took about 15 minutes).

According to "fi.google.com", I now have 2 devices (technically 3 if you include the trade-in iPhone). One has the physical IMEI number. The 2nd device has the eSIM's IMEI number with the newly transferred phone number attached.

"Fi Savings" ($200 and $250) still says the phone is not activated nor a number transferred. Looks like the whole system doesn't seem to see activation of eSIM correctly.

I am going to wait for couple days to see if it eventually updates. The good news is that the "trade-in" box is on its way.

Is this worth it to trade in iPhone 11 Pro? Since reduced trade in value vs regular iPhone 11

If I understand the terms correctly, I need to activate the new line on the device, correct? Is there a way around that requirement? Looking to gift the device without opening if possible

I don't know how it would be possible. You will need to open the box and activate the service with the phone tied to promotion.
If you activate with a physical sim you maybe able to remove the sim after activation and gift the device. -Although I am not sure if this may also cause a chargeback, since the terms call for line being active on the phone for 60 days-
However they are shipping the latest batches with no sim -including mine- so you may need to activate downloading the Esim. In which case idk if deleting the Esim afterwards would negate the promotion.

Mine shows the same, I believe (hope) we just have to wait a day to see it.

Esim, just power it on and follow the prompt, when it asks you to insert sim there will be option to use esim as downloaded version once you connect to wifi just keep following their prompts
Anyway to make sure we dont activate or use data accidentally? To avoid the $10 fee for 1 gb

Get another number from another carrier or GV to transfer.

I have an UNOPENED Google Fi Physical SIM from last year.
Can I use that to activate the Pixel 7?
Will that impact the $300 Porting Promo discount? I'm hoping the discount isn't tied to using the eSIM or the SIM that they ship now.

You won't be charged $10 unless you use the full GB, with Fi, 10/GB is the rate at which you are charged, you only get charged for what you use. penny per mb so if you use 500mb, you will be billed $5, not $10. First month is free (you just pay the 20 and taxes/fees) and then you pay for your usage the next month. If you use 1 mb, you get charged a penny.

Fi system usually takes 24 hrs to reflect the activation.
