According to "fi.google.com", I now have 2 devices (technically 3 if you include the trade-in iPhone). One has the physical IMEI number. The 2nd device has the eSIM's IMEI number with the newly transferred phone number attached.
"Fi Savings" ($200 and $250) still says the phone is not activated nor a number transferred. Looks like the whole system doesn't seem to see activation of eSIM correctly.
I am going to wait for couple days to see if it eventually updates. The good news is that the "trade-in" box is on its way.
If you activate with a physical sim you maybe able to remove the sim after activation and gift the device. -Although I am not sure if this may also cause a chargeback, since the terms call for line being active on the phone for 60 days-
However they are shipping the latest batches with no sim -including mine- so you may need to activate downloading the Esim. In which case idk if deleting the Esim afterwards would negate the promotion.

Can I use that to activate the Pixel 7?
Will that impact the $300 Porting Promo discount? I'm hoping the discount isn't tied to using the eSIM or the SIM that they ship now.
