After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

Anyone have success with this deal using a Google Voice number? Also did you have to pay the $3 to unlock the GV number? Thanks.
I created a new Google account and obtained a GV number for that account for each Fi deals. I've ported in 3 GV numbers without having to pay anything. I've read some posts from people who had to pay $3, but I wonder if the GV number they used belongs to another Google account.

I just activated my P7 phone with a GV number port-in this morning. Took less than a minute. Didn't have to pay anything.

When placing your order, there's a box to enter the port-in number and check its eligibility. It always said my GV numbers were eligible.

Both PIXEL2022 and P1XE12022 give the message:

Oops, code requires a Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro purchase. I have a Pixel 7 in my cart.

Is the deal dead? Any new code?
Oh wowwww I just ordered a couple hours ago!!!

Thanks for the data point.
When I created my order, I had given a T Mobile number for Porting which was qualified.
However, now I'm thinking of using the Google voice number of the account with which I placed the order.

So can I change the port number to my GV number on activation with Google Fi?
How did you manage to NOT pay the $3 for unlock.
https://support.google.com/fi/answer/6242352 - As per this link, the number port won't work without unlocking.

1. You can log into your Fi account, there should be a box saying Number Ready For Transfer. Click on Update Info and change it to another number/provider. See attachment.
2. I was simply never asked to unlock my GV number or to pay the $3 fee. My suspicion is that the unlock fee is only needed if the GV number is not for the same account, or when porting to a provider that's not Google. I don't know.

Thank you again for the helpful response - appreciate it. Repped.
One last question: Does the deal work fine for Google Voice numbers? The reason I ask is since the promo conditions said port in from a provider with voice and data services.

In other words - is there a danger of Google clawing back the $300 port in bonus? Have you or anyone else tried another Google Fi deal, ported in with Google Voice and still got the bonus in the end? Thanks.

That verbiage is very confusing, and is in the promo for the Samsung S22 and Pixel phones. I've used GV numbers for 4 deals now (three S22 and this P7). The first S22 phone activated in May and completed in Sept with the $500 promo earned. See attachments. The other 3 deals are on going and the action item for "Transfer a number to Fi" was checkmarked. I have no doubt that the promo will be earned.

Perfect. Thanks. Appreciate the data points. Did your GV port take 24 hours or a few business days to go through. I've read it takes a while for the GV number to be transferred since it's treated as a landline.

It took one minute. Look at the clock on the attached screenshots.

Wow. That's amazing! I've never seen such a quick Google Voice Transfer. Thanks for the screenshots.

Did you use the eSIM for the activation and number transfer? Mine did NOT come with a physical SIM.

I also have a physical Fi SIM from the earlier deal (free FI service till end of year) that is sealed and unopened.

Can I use that Physical SIM for this P7Pro deal? Or is it much safer to use the eSIM. I'm guessing they pair the physical SIM with IMEI for each deal or something?

Most of the comments about GV numbers taking a long time to transfer are from people who ported to providers other than Fi. After all, Google KNOWS that a GV number is NOT a landline.

I activated my P7 using the eSIM, because it didn't come with a physical SIM. During the phone set up with WiFi ON, it'll ask you for permission to download the eSIM. When doing the activation/transfer, since there's no physical SIM it automatically used the eSIM.

I can't answer your questions about using a physical SIM because I'm not doing it that way.

You did a port-in for this P7 deal?

Yes. I didn't see any advantage in ordering as a Fi member, except for people who have unused Fi credit for their account. Doing it as a new member eliminates the chance of getting "stuck" like those doing the S22 deal. Besides, I had a feeling that this deal wouldn't last long and didn't want to wait until my other Fi deals completed so I could order as current Fi member.

What if I don't send back the trade in? I don't mind paying $150 for the pixel.

I suppose they'll charge you for the discount, unless you already plan to dispute the charge. I think Fi is running this great deal mainly to get iPhones users to try/convert to Android.
