I just activated my P7 phone with a GV number port-in this morning. Took less than a minute. Didn't have to pay anything.
When placing your order, there's a box to enter the port-in number and check its eligibility. It always said my GV numbers were eligible.
Oops, code requires a Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro purchase. I have a Pixel 7 in my cart.
Is the deal dead? Any new code?

When I created my order, I had given a T Mobile number for Porting which was qualified.
However, now I'm thinking of using the Google voice number of the account with which I placed the order.
So can I change the port number to my GV number on activation with Google Fi?
How did you manage to NOT pay the $3 for unlock.

2. How did you manage to NOT pay the $3 for unlock.
2. I was simply never asked to unlock my GV number or to pay the $3 fee. My suspicion is that the unlock fee is only needed if the GV number is not for the same account, or when porting to a provider that's not Google. I don't know.

One last question: Does the deal work fine for Google Voice numbers? The reason I ask is since the promo conditions said port in from a provider with voice and data services.
In other words - is there a danger of Google clawing back the $300 port in bonus? Have you or anyone else tried another Google Fi deal, ported in with Google Voice and still got the bonus in the end? Thanks.

Did you use the eSIM for the activation and number transfer? Mine did NOT come with a physical SIM.
I also have a physical Fi SIM from the earlier deal (free FI service till end of year) that is sealed and unopened.
Can I use that Physical SIM for this P7Pro deal? Or is it much safer to use the eSIM. I'm guessing they pair the physical SIM with IMEI for each deal or something?

I activated my P7 using the eSIM, because it didn't come with a physical SIM. During the phone set up with WiFi ON, it'll ask you for permission to download the eSIM. When doing the activation/transfer, since there's no physical SIM it automatically used the eSIM.
I can't answer your questions about using a physical SIM because I'm not doing it that way.
