After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

You must be living in a low-tax state. My monthly bill for Flexible Plan + taxes & fees in KS is $26.56, no Data used.
$6.80 in taxes and fees here, it's sad that it's literally 33% of the plan cost.

Looks like Fi updates the counter every 24 hrs after activation. I activated my P7 at noon 12/23. This morning the counter showed 59 days left. Now at 12:30pm it shows 58 days left.

Nope didn't try that.
I won't be using USMobile with that device.
I will give it a bit more time and see if I get the checkmarks again otherwise I will contact Google Fi support again.
Contrary to the general sentiment here, I find their support to be helpful and courteous so far.
I also ordered a Pixel 7 Pro yesterday from another account using the Metro PCs deal for trade-in.
I want to sell the Pixel 7 later, -better then returning it- but I have to be sure I meet all the requirements before I sell it. -don't want any surprises later-

I don't think adding a referral code caused the problems. Have you tried putting the USMobile physical SIM back in?

The taxes are usually a percentage of the plan cost, but most fees are fixed amount regardless of plan cost, so for a low-cost plan taxes & fees add up to a disproportionally high percentage.

I am in the same boat. But I did get the checkmarks for while which later disappeared as outlined below:

1) I activated on 23rd using Esim -and Two Pixel devices were showing- One with IMEI1 the other one with Esim. -No checkmarks in savings, even-though the phone was activated-
2) I put a physical SIM from another carrier in the device. Therefor using the device with 2 carriers.
3) On 24th the checkmarks appeared showing activation and the the device with the IMEI1 disappeared resulting in one Pixel 7 device in my account.
4) Once I saw the checkmarks, I contacted support and asked if I could add a friend's referral code.
5) On 24th I removed the physical sim - which was a USMobile sim card, leaving the IMEI1 slot empty-
6) Subsequently when I checked my Fi Savings, the checkmarks for activation disappeared, and I started seeing 2 devices again in my account.
7) I contacted support and they assured me they can see my activation and everything is all good.
8) I don't know if it was adding a referral code or removing the USMobile SIM which triggered the change in their system but I suspect it was latter one.
9) As of now I still don't see the checkmarks

I am not worried and the phone is active with the Esim. Received my first bill in the amount of $25.49. I would definitely feel better once the checkmarks appear again.
Fi doesn't allow 2 promo codes as I understand it. Requesting the referral code to be added might have kicked out the pixel promo code. Other deals didn't require promo codes, so people were able to use referrals then. I would keep watch on this.

But adding the 2nd provider sim might have caused issue with your activation. It might be seen as being activated to a different provider first. Some people have messed up their promos for the Samsung deal when they put in a different provider sim before they activated with Fi. Even though a phone is activated quickly the backend informatics seem to take time, like 24 hrs to register as activated. It's best to do things in steps, like wait 24 hrs before doing anything else, like adding a new provider sim.

Log into your Fi account on their web site and check. The Fi app doesn't show all the details.
Damn just checked on pc/web and unfortunately $200 off pixel is still missing the last two checks, new fi member and transfer a number to fi. Same for the $250 off, missing the activate within 34 days n waiting to receive device ( that's probably the iPhone im turning in ) .. my first time doing this fi deals. Should I call, chat or give it a day or two. Phone works with transfer number I even made a few calls and text . Thank you in advance

I contacted Fi support 4 times when I had to return a shipment because the order didn't include a trade-in. One rep blew me off, probably because he didn't know the answer to my question. The other 3 reps were helpful.

When did you activate the P7? Is it at least 24 hrs ago?

This might be it. I tried to use a referral code when placing my P7 order (after entering the PIXEL2022 code), got an error although the given reason was wrong "Only new member can use a referral code" (or similar wording). I'm using a new Google/Fi account for this deal.

1) I made sure I activated the device first before putting in another sim card. Got the activation notification. And I ported in a GV number which was instantaneous.
2) I read in this thread and in the other thread on the same subject successful application of referral codes after activation. -the support didn't mention anything to the contrary-
3) When I asked to add the referral code the checkmarks were already in place showing my device is activated and a number was transferred.
4) When I contacted their support once I lost the checkmarks, they assured me everything with my promotion is in order and there is nothing for me to worry about.

What I think is removing the SIM card might have triggered something, hopefully it will correct itself within 24 hours when the counters update. I doubt any of this can have adverse effect in the promotion since I fulfill all the terms. There is no fine print against using the device with multiple carriers.

Having said that I agree it would be probably be safer waiting few days even before adding another SIM card.

Also on another note, you can refer others while you are using the promotion, so I assume referral credits and promotions are treated differently in their system. -My personal opinion, I don't encourage anyone using referrals before doing their due diligence-

Yeah. Your steps were done correctly. But to be sure each step is registered correctly they need to be recorded by Fi, and their system regarding promos doesn't seem to update immediately. At least that's what we have learned from previous deals.

Also adding referral after doesn't seem to be an issue generally. But this deal requires a promo code and others haven't. They specifically cannot be combined with other offers. Technically this is two offers but it's two Fi put together. Adding 2 promo codes is the customer requesting 2 together.

Not letting time for Fi to register steps just adds more headache. The system doesn't detect the steps properly and won't annotate it for the promo fulfillment, so you likely need an override. Either that or just start over with new order if it doesn't show correctly in 48 hours. It seems like 48hr is a good window. If promo steps aren't correctly reflected by then, there is something wrong and needs manual intervention. If you haven't sent in the trade-in, I would personally just reorder. The other threads show the problems people have faced when Fi didn't detect their steps correctly. The return period may no longer be extended, and these issues take time to resolve and not always guaranteed as the system may just reissue the charge later.

What is a good way to check if the Referral has been applied to your account?
It doesn't seem to show up in Billing -> Fi Savings -> In Progress.

Just contacted their support again since your reply made me a little uneasy and I got the same assurance from them:

XXAM XX: There might be a system glitch, you'll not lose the promo rebate on your account as you have met the terms. Please continue meeting the other remaining terms, the system will be updated soon.
XX AM XX: I assure you that you'll not lose the rebate.
XXAM XX: Please make a note of this case ID and reach us back if you face any further issues. We'll take care of it.

Redacting the name of the rep for privacy purposes..

If it wasn't for the scary posts I have seen regarding promotions and chargebacks I wouldn't really be worried but now I will keep a close eye on the Fi Savings and the checkmarks.
