Sorry, venting so feel free to ignore...

I am giving up on Fi with this. I have the same eSIM / 2 devices / activation not recognized issue. Already contacted regular chat CSR multiple times and escalated it to the so call 'Promotion Department" since Dec 26. One giant blackhole with no response. I have tried Reddit support and same problem No one ever respond.

Has anyone ever returned their phone/order? Any this rate, I think the will mess that up also...

I returned one S22 order in Oct because the order didn't include a trade-in entry. I only noticed it after the phone was already shipped. Had to tell the FedEx driver that I was refusing the shipment and sending it back to Fi. They received it back 2 days later, but it took 28 days and several chats/calls to get the money refunded.

Since you already opened the box and activated the phone, contact Fi Support (or through your account-->Manage Order-->Return Item). They will create for you a Return Label to ship it back to Fi via FedEx. In one post that I read, that person received a refund as soon as FedEx accepted the shipment. That doesn't sound like the norms, because I think they would want to inspect the returned phone first.

Just a data point for 256GB P7 with iphone 11 trade-in. The phone finally came in but no SIM card in the tray or in the box. So I activated using the eSIM and within less than 24 hours I can see that the promotion reflects the same and the countdown has begun for 60 days. It was activated in SIM2 slot and will put my original T-Mobile in SIM1. Great phone!!
Where can I see this countdown? Thanks,

In Google Fi app under billing, you will see under promotions and the check boxes following that.

Using the Fi app on my P7, under Billing it doesn't show any promotion info, no check items either. I can see the promotions when using their web site.

My pixel 7 will arrive in 2 days. As a current fi user, can I just insert the existing physical Fi sim card in the new device, and get the deal and day counting down work correctly?

I am really concerning about the issue of esim activation that guys are facing in this post. Fi customer service is horrible to work with, trying to avoid the potential trouble.

Yeah yours is definitely different. Mine has Fi savings and under that there is a in progress section that shows it.

I wouldn't do that. Once activated, the physical SIM is paired to the IMEI of the phone that activated it. When putting an active Fi SIM into a different phone, at best you'll get a warning message telling you to put the SIM back into its original phone (there are known data points on that). At worst, who knows what can happen?

Existing physical sim ...I assume is unused...then in that case I already did for 2 lines and it's working without issue...all tracking on time

Activated second Pixel 7 yesterday via eSIM, transferred GV number, checkmarks and countdown showing fine today. Guess I got lucky 2 for 2 with no problems at all so far.

Nothing you'll pay $164 now and get $149 back for the trade in.

Yes, I bought this Pixel 7 as an existing user using the same active Fi line.

Thank you for the info. There are also many DPs in this post that activated with esim and deals & days counting works fine. Maybe I should just try my luck. As you mentioned, the old physical sim card does cause more uncertainty.
