After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

Yes, I bought this Pixel 7 as an existing user using the same active Fi line.
There are also many DPs in this post that activated with esim and deals & days counting works fine. Maybe I should just try my luck. As you mentioned, the old physical sim card does cause more uncertainty.
It seems like people who activated with the P7's eSIM and had problems (showing two P7 phones) were the "pioneers". Haven't seen anyone reported that problem since Dec 23 when I activated my eSIM. Fi must've corrected the programming.

That's good, I'm sorry I knew I should have gone over most comments here but I was only able to get two iphone 11s last moment from the metro deal. everything still works the same? and also not sure if I read some few days ago people were stacking referrals afterwards to make the deal even better

The only way to know for sure is to place your order and see if code PIXEL2022 still works. You can try adding the referral code later. although I don't know if using a referral code works for this deal.

It is still hit-n-miss based on other posting in Reddit (someone activated an eSIM on Dec 29th and it still didn't work and shows 2 Pixels).

Anyway, based on that thread's suggestion, I have purchased a physical SIM from my local Target store and did the following:

1) Disabled eSIM on the device.
2) Insert new physical SIM into the device.
3) Launched Google Fi App.
4) It immediately asked if I want to transfer the phone number to this "device". I guess Their system simply doesn't associate the eSIM IMEI correctly.
5) I said yes and it immediately transferred the phone number to the physical SIM.

The phone portion worked almost immediately (i.e. calling in or out and SMS). According to fi.google.com website, I no longer have 2 Pixels listed. "Account"->"Your Plan"->"Devices" only shows one Pixel 7 and another entry for the pending trade-in kit.

Finger crossed that within 24-48 hours the checkmarks and countdown will update correctly. At least everything is now moving in the correct direction. If for whatever reason it still doesn't work, I am just going to start the return process. I don't trust their incompetent CSRs to fix any promotion problems.

I will update again tomorrow or Monday.

Just in case anyone wonders I was able to place the order just now and everything still works, now I'm just debating if I should place an order for the second iphone 11 or keep it and wait until it unlocks, heard some people are still paying $300 cash for an iphone 11

Doesn't the Metro iphone11 take 6 months to unlock? What will its price be 6 months from now?

Here's another option: Buy a Fi P7 Pro for $350 (after 2 promotions) + sales tax. Trade in the iPhone11 for $330 credit. After the trade-in is credited, you'll be out of pocket $20 for the phone + let's say $35 sales tax + about $55 for two months of Fi service = $110. After 60 days, sell the P7 Pro. I don't know what its price will be then, but right now WeCellTrade.com pays around $530 for an unlocked P7 Pro in flawless condition.

Can you buy two phones, activate one and then refer "yourself" for the second line and get $20 off for each line the next month?

In theory, there is no reason for it not to work. Is the referral code available once you activate a line?

In theory, it should work. But when I tried to enter a referral code when ordering my P7 in a new account I got the error message "Only new customer can use a referral code". That was right after I entered the PIXEL2022 code, so I suspect that it'd take only one code per order but gave the wrong error message.

Hold on a sec, are you referring to entering the referral codel at checkout?

Aren't you supposed to enter Fi referral code when you activate the line?

Do they give $530 for an unsealed Pixel 7 pro that is not brand new? That is hard to believe. I'll check it out.

No, you don't enter the referral code at activation. There's no mechanism/option to enter a referral code at activation.

I've always entered the referral code when placing an order. Some people said they use a referral link to create their account. I've never done it that way.

It was $531 when I checked 2 weeks ago. Has dropped to $442 now. They probably got too many from Fi customers.

Base P7 was $331 two weeks ago. Now $302.

EDITED: added info & picture of Base P7 price.
