After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.
you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).
Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

Interesting how some trade-ins are processed very fast on the same day or within a couple of days of receipt and some of them take forever. It has been six days since they received my trade-in and it's still being inspected. My trade-in device has a cracked screen I don't know if it makes the process run slower.

My trade has been Moving through network - departed Nashville distribution Center since 14+ days. It's a new iPhone 11.

So it's NOT the cracked screen. It's just luck of the draw. At this point I'm hoping, they didn't lose my phone.

I don't see this screen & I didn't get the email that others received.

Did you use the referral url or did you enter the code manually?

I also tried calling CS to enter the code manually but I was denied twice & one CS I think just flat out lied to me saying he sees the code on his end. Another said I have to wait 30 days and make the first bill payment before it will show up on my account.

Third CS said the referral code of my first account was invalid which is completely weird. I'm not sure why the code/url would be invalid.
The screenshot that I posted is of my account with a 120-day S22 deal.

There are several ways to use a referral code:

1. Enter it (the 6-character string at the end of the URL) when placing an order. It worked with my other orders but not the P7 order. I tried to enter my referral code after applying the PIXEL2022 code but got an error message that "Only a new account can use a referral code". Well, it IS a new account, so I figured that they didn't allow a 2nd code for one order. So my P7 account didn't use a referral code.
With my other orders where I was able to use a referral code when ordering, the order noted a "future credit of $20 after 30 days of service", and I got the email shortly after the phone was activated.

2. Some people use the URL to create a new account and the referral code is applied. I've never done it that way.

3. Some people (like Captainwolf) contacted Fi Support and had the rep apply the code AFTER placing their order.

I don't know why a rep said your code from your account is not valid. Try placing a simulated order, enter your code and see what it says.

I mean the process after they receive the trade-in device. The inspection time differs vastly between devices they receive on the same day. I received an E-mail confirming my device was received on January 5th and it's still in the inspection phase. However there are data points when the trade-in devices were processed on the same day or next day with the same receipt date as mine. As for the delivery time it can be delayed because of many different factors.

My GUESS is that a phone with no problems would pass on the 1st inspection and get paid quickly. A phone with blemishes or other internal problems gets put into a pile "for further inspection" and takes longer.

Probably. That's why I was thinking my trade-in device having a cracked screen might be the culprit of slower processing.

Anyone had to RMA their phone? I may have a defect but not sure how this would affect trade in and promo status.

From reading posts on Reddit about returning a Fi phone with trade-in and promotion, it's a messy situation. If they allow you exchange the defective phone for a replacement, it would be better.

I'm absolutely going for a replacement. I want to keep a 7 pro. I put a tempered glass on the front of this thing too. Frown

Go on the google (not fi) store and sign in. It's in the order history.

Did you get any status updates regarding the inspection?
My Iphone Trade-in is showing Received on Jan 5 and inspecting device.
Fi Savings > Additional XX off Pixel 7 is showing Trade-in Device reimbursement with a yellow exclamation mark.
I'm in the same boat as you (they received my phone on the 5th; same yellow exclamation).

This is my second trade in with Google Fi and what I always do is video tape the whole process. I show the phones on with the settings section displaying model and IMEI. In the same shot I go over its condition and then tape the reset process. I package the phones and make sure the shipping label is clearly displayed in the video. Once I even included the drop off at the mail box in the same shot! People said this was overkill but frankly I worry about situations like what you guys are describing. Anyways in all likelihood you'll get the correct reimbursement eventually.
